My experience with this daycare was very disappointing. Instead of feeling like we were working together to support my child, I often felt threatened with the possibility of losing childcare whenever a behavioral issue came up. Young children are still learning how to regulate their emotions and behavior, and I expected a daycare to partner with parents to address those challenges—not immediately treat them as grounds for removal. As a parent, I was committed to working with the staff, communicating openly, and reinforcing expectations at home. Unfortunately, I did not feel that same level of collaboration in return. It seemed like the focus was on consequences rather than problem-solving and supporting my child's success. For families, especially single parents or those who rely on childcare assistance, the constant fear of being asked to leave creates unnecessary stress during an already challenging time. Parents deserve honest communication, empathy, and a genuine effort to work together before such serious decisions are considered. I hope this daycare reflects on how it communicates with families and chooses to build stronger partnerships with parents in the future.
