This is a great program! The staff is so caring and you can see in their eyes that they truly care about these children. I would give the staff definitely 10 Stars if I could.
Wendy BellMay 22, 2026Where do I even get started? Let’s start with SOME staff I decided to take my child out of kids can recently it just was not a good environment he was always getting hurt as if nobody was watching him he was in preschool & when I decided to talk to the school director he just did not seem to care he’s rude to his staff and has no filter in his sayings my child always told me he was mean to his friends when he visited the classrooms every time I would pick up my child the director would be in a room with 2-3 other ladies just talking and I’m 100% sure it was not work related just gossip and giggles taking my child out was the best decision I had made! Just a big no!
Rebecca GarciaJan 9, 2026As a Google guide, I had the opportunity to visit the Kids Can Community Center in Omaha during the Open Omaha event by OmahaBydesign on 5th and 6th August. The experience was truly awesome! The center is a fantastic space dedicated to serving the needs of children and families in the community. Upon arrival, I was impressed by the inviting atmosphere and the friendly staff who welcomed me warmly. The center offers a wide range of activities and programs catering to different age groups, ensuring that everyone feels engaged and included. The facilities at Kids Can are top-notch, providing ample space for learning, playing, and socializing. From well-equipped classrooms and a vibrant play area to various recreational zones, it's clear that they prioritize the well-being and development of the children who attend. During my visit, I had the chance to witness some of the classes and workshops they offer. The instructors were passionate and dedicated, creating a nurturing environment for the kids to learn and explore their interests. Additionally, I appreciated the center's commitment to community engagement. They actively collaborate with local organizations and volunteers to enhance their programs and outreach efforts, making a positive impact on the broader community. In conclusion, Kids Can Community Center is a fantastic place that offers a wealth of opportunities for children to learn, grow, and have fun. If you're in Omaha and looking for a place that truly cares about the well-being of kids, this is the spot to visit. I would highly recommend it to families and visitors alike! #openomaha
LAKSHIT K JINDALAug 5, 2023Me and my daughter started our journey at Kids Can when she was 18 months. From the beginning, I felt that it was a safe play for my child to be at while I work. I also felt that it was an educational center, that would provide my daughter with fun leaning activities, not just let her play all day without any structure. The staff also were friendly, and gave me the sense that they care about the children, their work and had passion for early childhood care. My daughter is now 6 years old. I continue to be satisfied with this organization and my child enjoys attending. I have watched Kids Can grow and improve over the years. They are doing great things for children of all ages!
L HDZOct 21, 2017Kids Can worked with me when my husband and I took guardianship of two of our grandchildren. They were so helpful getting all of the information we needed and signing the kids up quickly, since everything happened right before school started. Kids Can hadn’t driven kids to school at Gilder Elementary before, but they added Gilder to their list of schools that they drop children off at so my grandchildren could attend Kids Can, which I will forever be grateful for! It was a HUGE weight off my shoulders knowing that my grandchildren were arriving to school each morning safe and on time. The teachers were great at communicating with me for not only the things that wasn’t going so well, but also the good behavior. It is nice to hear when things go well instead of just focusing on the bad behaviors. My little granddaughter had never been in daycare before and Kids Can teachers were very good at calming her fears and they taught her everything she needed to know to get her ready for Kindergarten. During the summer, the kids enjoyed the different activities and field trips and never were bored going to Kids Can. I had to laugh, because on our way into daycare each morning, the kids would see the Kids Can sign from the back seat and they would throw their hands up into the air and yell out Kids Can! It is so nice to know that your kids enjoy where they are going each work day. It allows parents/guardians to continue onto work knowing that kids are having fun and being taken care of. I love Kids Can!
Jane Waters-ParksOct 20, 2017My 2 Sons have been attending Kids Can for almost 2 years now, I am very happy with the program they offer. Kids Can is so much more than just a "daycare" and more like a family. We enjoy every family night/holiday event they host for the kids and their families. They do so much with our school age child while he is out of school during the summer: field trips, movies, swimming, etc. The staff does such a great job interacting with the kids and keeping them busy and active. Kids Can staff has always been very passionate, attentive and eager to work with my boys anytime they have struggled with either behavior, learning, and transitioning between classrooms. I recommend Kids Can to all my family and friends with kids age 18 months + as we couldn't be happier with our experience! Such a great program!
