This daycare has gone downhill for the last three to four years. Previously had long term directors/staff that cared. Since that director left, it’s gone way downhill.
LIsa HMar 2, 2026Review is of the administrative staff, as because of their errors we never got past them and have no desire to now. I placed my son on a waitlist when changing jobs. I was estimated about a six month wait list. About a year went by since the last contact from them. I had paid a deposit fee and regularly contacted them. Suddenly no contact. I recently contacted again to request a refund on my deposit since I was quoted a six month wait list time and now had been over a year with no update. I was told these were nonrefundable, which I would understand if I declined a spot or was at fault, but they took no accountability. I asked some follow up questions and they said they offered us a spot six months prior. I had no calls or emails. I asked for the date of contact (which they didn’t have record of) and the number called. Turns out they called a number that has no connection to my family. On a quick google search belongs to a 30 something year old woman in the area, so I presume another prospective parent. I clarified this and the director did not even offer an apology (or anything to rectify the lost childcare slot) and simply said it was not refundable. I also attempted to contact the over-arching organization through the administrative assistant and never heard back. Not only terrible customer service since it was their fault, but concerning that these would be people I would have left my child in the care of regularly. Very disappointed with our limited experience. Could not consider enrolling my child there after this.
Eileen MurrayOct 31, 2025This is a center for kids who are not sensory seeking. They claim to be a center that understands kids with sensory seeking needs but they are not. We are adopted our son and he had many obvious issues but it was his first time in a daycare and first time in a new environment. He has trauma and was often sensory seeking and rambunctious but I was told that they focused on these areas. They put him through so much rejection, he could literally feel how they felt about him every day. They removed him in such a traumatic way, it genuinely affected him as a kid that had already experienced so much in his short life. Save yourself the trouble and the headache of being removed just a couple months in. TERRIBLE!!!
Jasmine AllenNov 18, 2024We sent our two boys here for the last two years. During our time there we had two separate instances where teachers put their hands on my child. The first time, I chalked it up to a bad teacher at a good daycare…but in hindsight all they were going to do was demote this teacher. My husband and I had to keep pushing them to do more until eventually she just quit on her own. The second time it happened it was clear that there was a blatant disregard for the safety of the children parents entrusted them to care for. Sunrise simply hires bodies to meet state regulated ratios, they do not hire good quality teachers with a passion for childcare. Some teachers at Sunrise are wonderful, and we truly felt safe leaving our children with them; however the negative experiences we had far outweigh those good teachers. I hope for the sake of the children and parents that still attend a Sunrise that they will change their ways and do better; but as they are now I do not recommend them to anyone.
Samantha St LaurentMar 28, 2023We sent our daughter here for a couple of years. A great place for kids to grow and learn. Only downside is trying to battle traffic sometimes during rush hour
Peter KlineApr 2, 2017My daughter has been attending Sunrise Children's Center for the past year and I love the program. She does too. She enjoys going and there are days she doesn't want to leave. The teachers are sweet and caring. They teach manners and put effort into projects and organized play time. Thank you so much for all you do! :)
