  • My son attended for 4 months. Originally my son was at Londonderry. His time at Londonderry was cut short because the ark could not afford a third location. You would think there might’ve been some sort of notice that they provide the families that have sent their children there, been loyal and given thousands of dollars to them, however they gave us about an eight day notice 3 holiday days ans 2 weekend. they informed us that they would not be reopening after the Thanksgiving break. Because they told us the days before Thanksgiving there was limited amount of time that parents could call other daycares or schedule any tours. Because of this extreme unprofessional action we ended up taking him to the hookset location. We were told that “many” of the staff members would be going to the hookset location, but that was dishonest. Very quickly we saw that it was not ran the same way as Londonderry, even though it’s the same business. My son’s main teacher was “laid off” and somehow my son knew before I did, which was a problem for me. I then had a four-year-old very upset and I didn’t know how to help them because I was not told by the school for days. They had a staffing change with his main teacher and did not tell parents for days! I told the school my son was sad his teacher “went to a new school” that same day she was laid off and I told the school I was upset that they told children that their teachers were not returning before telling parents. I was dismissed and called in for a meeting with the new director Casey and the owner( over zoom). The meeting interrupted my workday. 20 min before the meeting I was asked to move the time of my scheduled meeting so they could schedule a tour with a prospective student. That was not an appropriate request to make because your prioritizing a possible student over a student that you already have and failing. The meeting was a waste of my time. Issues were dismissed or lied about. Both the owner and Casey are dishonest, tonedeaf, rude and condescending. Casey spent time saying being a parent was the reason that she could not communicate his teacher had left and also the reason that they couldn’t communicate in person that the Londonderry school closing. it doesn’t matter how many children you have it matters how well you do your job. They both refused to tell me that the kids knew and told me that my son is just “super smart” and figured that all out by himself from his Teacher not returning that afternoon. After that teacher/also prev director was let go, many other staff members left and all that were from the Londonderry location left within roughly 2 months. Then more staff left this mast 2 weeks. He now has no preschool teacher in the classrooms and a new “teacher” is there almost daily. they don’t seem to care to make the kids comfortable or feel supported there. I tried talking to the school about how much notice was needed they wanted me to refer to the handbook that says a two week notice has to be given or you have to pay for the two weeks. when I said that we weren’t given a two week notice when the Londonderry school closed and I would hope that they’d be fair and honor a one week notice as they gave they said that they did give a two week notice and continue to deny that they didn’t give a two week notice even though I have the actual brightwheel message from the school. Since this “director” Casey has taken over it seems to absolutely have gone even more downhill. Staff is visibly unhappy and they’re not able to build meaningful connections with the students. It also makes me wonder how the kids are being cared for during the day. If staff is leaving every week there seems like something else might be going on.

  • We've had a wonderful experience with The Ark Learning Center over the past three years. Our daughter has grown emotionally, socially, and academically in such a warm and nurturing environment. The teachers are incredibly caring, patient, and intentional in their approach to each child's development. If you're looking for a preschool/daycare in the Hooksett area that emphasizes developmental growth, safety, and strong parent communication, The Ark is worth considering. They offer rich programming in a clean, secure space with a well-trained team. We couldn't be more grateful for the love and care our child has received here.

  • I feel it’s important for families to be aware of what I observed during my time there. My intention isn’t to be negative, but to give insight I wish more parents had access to. Communication with families is often lacking. Behaviors and incidents aren’t consistently shared with parents, and staff are required to mark that meals were eaten even when a child didn’t touch their food. In some classrooms, toys are visibly dirty, broken, or even potential choking hazards. In the preschool room, I witnessed children being physically restrained by staff/directors which was deeply troubling. If your child is consistently crying during drop off and pick up, please don’t ignore it. Let that be a sign. MANY of the most dedicated teachers have chosen to leave, largely due to POOR management and a LACK of support. I’ve toured at multiple centers, and this was unfortunately the most stressful and disorganized. Based on my experience, I personally regretted enrolling my own child here, and I hope more transparency becomes a priority for the sake of the children and families.

  • My daughter has attended The Ark since she was 6 months old (now 2), and I cannot speak highly enough about our experience. My daughter was a preemie with a lot of feeding difficulties in her first year, and the teachers at The Ark took the time and care to learn her particular feeding needs and made every accommodation to set my daughter up for success. Now as a toddler, she gets ample outdoor play time and has learned so many things from songs to books to drawing/crafts, and more. The Ark uses the brightwheel app so everyday I am consistently updated on her day and have easy communication with staff. It’s not easy sending your child to daycare but it’s easier knowing that the wonderful teachers at The Ark are caring for my daughter just as I would. We love The Ark and cannot imagine a better place to send our daughter!

  • I LOVE this place, as an anxious mom I never pictured myself letting my baby go to child care until I came across The Ark in Hooksett. I never second guess the amount of care they have towards my child, they give ample amount of care towards my child and ALWAYS communicates with me. If you are scared PLEASE give them a try I promise you will never be disappointed. Your child is getting the best care surrounded by people who will take care of your babies like their own.

  • We love the Ark! Our daughter (2.5 years) started 1 month ago and calls it her "awesome school"! Her transition has been amazing, she's making lots of friends, loves her teachers, and spends tons of time outside on the playground. We were worried about switching schools at such a crucial age but couldn't be happier with how it worked out!
