  • We absolutely love Treehouse School of Portsmouth! It has been such a positive experience for our daughter and for our family. The teachers are incredibly caring and always share the sweetest little anecdotes from the school day. Communication is fantastic and we love receiving photos and updates that keep us connected. The After Clubs are adorable (photography around town, Christmas cookie decorating, painting, and more) and add a whole other element to the learning environment. One of the things that makes Treehouse so special is how much they explore. The children walk all around town and visit a different playground almost every day. They have field trips to visit all the local downtown spots. It’s incredible to see how confident and street-smart our daughter has become. She knows her way around, understands how to navigate safely, and feels so comfortable in her community. We feel so lucky to be part of the Treehouse community and would highly recommend to anyone interested!

  • The Treehouse School has been an amazing experience for our son over the past two years. The teachers, staff, and leadership are all exceptional, and the small class sizes have made a huge difference in his growth at this age. One of the things we love most is how the school uses the City of Portsmouth as an extension of the classroom. Whether they are exploring local parks or visiting nearby businesses, the kids learn through real, hands‑on experiences. We often joke that our son does cooler things during the school day than we do! It will be bittersweet when he graduates from Treehouse, but we know he’s been well prepared for a smooth transition to kindergarten. We truly can’t say enough good things about our time at Treehouse :)

  • The Treehouse School of Portsmouth is truly an exceptional place. Anyone would be lucky to be a part of this school community. What makes Treehouse so unique is how they blend a social-emotional environment with a structured academic curriculum. Our son isn’t just learning his letters, he’s learning emotional regulation, 'values,' and social skills that have prepared him beautifully for Kindergarten and life! The teachers, Ms. Kate, Miss Judy, Ms. Jenn, Miss Molly, and Ms. Shannon, are all incredible. Director Ms. Jaime leads a team that is deeply engaged and really loves these kids. They’ve collaborated with us, outside therapists, and the local school district to ensure our son is supported on every level. Making modifications to his school environment, and brainstorming with us to find what works best as he learns and grows. We love the 'urban playground' aspect Treehouse. Our son has gained so much confidence navigating downtown Portsmouth, knowing every park and playground by heart. We joke he knows his way around town better than we do. We also love the transparency. Daily photos and detailed weekly curriculum updates, so we always know what he's learning and what’s coming next. If you are looking for a preschool in Portsmouth that balances community, academic readiness, and a whole lot of heart, I cannot recommend The Treehouse School enough.

  • Treehouse is a true early education gem on the Seacoast. Their beautifully curated classrooms, kind and thoughtful teachers, and play-based approach to learning are every parent’s dream. All three of our children have (or will have) attended Treehouse, and we couldn’t be happier that this is their introduction to school and learning. It is such an incredibly special place and has made a lasting impact on our family!

  • What can I say about this wonderful school. Such a special place for both my daughers' preschool journey. From incredible teachers to creative curriculum that not only prepares students for the next step but makes it's a learning adventure everyday. The teachers are beyond belief wonderful and highly focused on the outcomes of their students. The city is the school's playground, allowing kids to explore their home around them which is such an incredible gift. I can't recommend this school or the team behind it enough!

  • We have had a truly wonderful experience at The Treehouse School. Our son is currently in his second year (the Owl year), and we couldn’t be happier with the care, communication, and sense of community the school provides. Jaime, the director, is fantastic—communication is clear, consistent, and thoughtful, which gives us so much peace of mind as parents. Our son’s teacher, Ms. Jenn, is absolutely amazing. She is caring, patient, and genuinely invested in each child. We’ve seen incredible growth in our son’s confidence, social skills, and love of learning under her guidance. The Treehouse also goes above and beyond with enrichment opportunities. The rotating after-school programs, like Art Club and Sports Club, change every few months and give the kids something new and exciting to look forward to. They also do an exceptional job celebrating holidays and special moments—highlights for our family have included the Christmas concert, guest reader day and the Mother’s Day picnic. They are always doing great field trips as well - the fire station and police station were such memorable moments for our son. These events make the school feel like a true community, not just a classroom. Our son loves going to school every day, and that says everything. We are so grateful to be part of The Treehouse School and highly recommend it to any family looking for a nurturing, engaging, and well-run preschool.
