  • Both of my boys attend Ark, and we’ve been very happy with our experience. The staff is excellent, and the facility is secure and always clean. Ms. Jen and Comfort are incredibly sweet, and I truly can’t imagine dropping my newborn off with anyone else!

  • We have had my Son Jackson at the ark child development center for over 2 years through 2 different classroom settings. From the director Leah, Jen at the front desk or Jackson’s teachers we as a family have been very impressed by the professional nature of everyone there, and the growth I’ve seen in Jackson can mainly be attributed to this daycare. I would not send my kids anywhere else if the ark was available. Totally awesome daycare everybody!!!

  • My daughter attended the Ark from 9 months through Pre-K and loved all her teachers! The director did change a few times throughout the years with a few that caused quality of care to drop. However, the current director has done a great job improving the quality of care. My youngest daughter now attends and we have no intentions of leaving any time soon!

  • My child went here a while ago, I was a single mom who worked two jobs and a dv victim as well as having just left my husband and being pregnant. I filed for a scholarship and was granted a tiny bit of financial help as long as I came in every week, very pregnant, on my one day off and cleaned the facility. On top of that, one of their highly regarded teachers grabbed my childs arm so hard she left a bruise in the shape of her hand. Safe to say I found other accomodations at another daycare in town, not associated with a church and the situation was a million times better and cheaper. Avoid religious daycares, they are the most expensive with the worst care.

  • Absolute worst daycare I’ve experienced. I would give 0 stars if I could. My son constantly came home in soaked diapers, had multiple diaper rashes (prior to attending had 3 total in 18 months), would constantly come home crying in hunger (despite me providing breakfast and lunch for him). On more than one occasion, I found parts of my son’s lunch in their refrigerator for WEEKS after I sent it with him, showing how he never even received it for him to eat. I had addressed some concerns with the assistant director who said she would talk to staff and get back to me. While my son was out for 10 days while family visited, I never heard from her, and she never filled in the director about it. I had multiple conversations with the director to not really see any change at all. Teachers were constantly on their phones and sitting and talking with each other instead of watching the kids. And my son would constantly come home smelling of one teacher’s perfume, which was awful. I am specifically talking about the toddler room teachers, I have no knowledge of the other teachers in the other various classrooms. I know there are limited options for child care in Los Alamos, but I assure you, it’s not worth sending your child(ren) to this one.

  • It's never easy to leave your child in the hands of others. This preschool put my fears at ease. They have a very safe and secure system in place. All the teachers have been nothing but amazing! The staff is very friendly and communicative with parents. My son has been attending here for the last few years and loves it here. It will be sad to leave here as he will be finishing pre-k this year.
