  The school has a brand new feel to it, and the staff are very engaged with the children. Their staff to child ratios are very low, allowing the staff to be more attentive to the children. The outdoor play area is amazing; they even have live chickens!

  My daughter absolutely loved being here, and we did as well. She would run to her teachers when she saw them, they were very open with communication and often asked how they could help us with her learning. She overall did amazing, she came out learning more words, how to play with others and she sings her favorite songs at home now. I know this is the work of both classes she was in Nambe and Carson. I’m happy we chose this academy. I am sad to have my daughter leave but I know her time here was great. Thank you all so much. ❤️

  Have been so pleased with the school for both of my children. They are on a special diet that the chef accommodates and the food is great. Ms. Teena, Ms. Shantel and Ms. Shaylee are all fantastic teachers who care so much about the students. Great activities and learning every day.

  My son has attended NMELA for the past two years. He's been in the preschool program and will be moving to kindergarten next year. His teachers Teena and Shantel are super amazing. I got the kindergarten paperwork for what they would like the students to work on before they go to kindergarten. Thanks to Teena and Shantel he has most of those steps accomplished. I bring my son to school every day and know he is safe, learning, and having fun with his friends at school. The have been bumps in the pre-k road never classroom-related. I believe the good still outweighs the bad. His teachers last year? ( Cynde and April) pumped them up and got them ready for this year. They set a solid learning foundation where my son learned so much in both classes. But the important thing is my son loves his teachers and that makes the biggest difference!

  As a dad of 3-year-old twins, finding the right daycare was a big deal for our family — and I can honestly say the Gila class has been everything we hoped for and more. Miss Sam is amazing. She has this calm, caring presence that somehow manages to meet both of our kids exactly where they are — no small feat with the twins having two very different personalities! She’s patient, encouraging, and makes sure every child feels seen and valued. You can tell she really loves what she does, and that makes all the difference. The communication from the whole Gila team has also been awesome. We always feel in the loop — whether it’s updates on what they’re learning, how they’re doing emotionally, or just a quick snapshot of a silly moment from the day that makes us smile. Since starting here, we’ve seen so much growth in our twins — not just in what they’re learning, but in their confidence and how they relate to others. It’s clear they feel safe and happy, and that’s all a dad can really ask for. This place doesn’t just take care of kids — it helps them thrive. We’re incredibly thankful, and proud to be part of the Gila class family.
