  • I feel incredibly lucky to have found Pando Little School for my son. He has absolutely thrived here, growing in confidence—not just in his abilities but in who he is. It’s amazing to watch him form connections and make thoughtful, healthy choices on his own. The beautiful messiness of his growth isn’t just allowed at Pando—it’s nurtured. The school’s approach encourages children to think for themselves and embrace learning through free play and the thrill of discovery. There is a deep trust in a child’s ability to navigate challenges, make mistakes, and grow at their own pace. The goal isn’t obedience but empowerment, guiding children toward their own agency, civility, and creative passions. The leadership and teachers at Pando are exceptional. Even at the end of a long day, they bring such warmth and energy to their work. What they do is invaluable, and I can’t thank them enough for the love, patience, and wisdom they pour into these children’s lives. They care deeply. Pando is a truly special place.

  • Before my child existed, I would walk by Pando Little School and could tell it was a magical place for children. Now that my child is in Pre-K there, I can say with certainty that it truly is! Pando encourages play, outdoor exploration, and child-led learning, and it has been the perfect environment for my son to grow, discover, and thrive. The teachers are nurturing, patient, and seem invested in each child’s development, creating a warm and supportive atmosphere. Communication with the staff has been excellent, and I feel confident that my child is in the best hands. We are so grateful to be part of the Pando community and highly recommend it to any family looking for a unique, inspiring, and engaging early childhood program!

  • Pando is a great little day school in a home like environment with plenty of hands-on craft activities. Melissa does a great job making a rich social environment where the kids can practice social learning in a safe and thoughtful way. The staff are kind and have good training in child development.

  • Pando Little School has been a perfect fit for our family. Melissa and her team are kind, caring, and my son adores his teachers. There are usually 3 teachers in a classroom of about 12 kids which affords each child the attention they need and deserve. Above all, I never worry about my son’s happiness while he’s at school. He absolutely loves it and comes home every day with new stories to tell. Pando is a warm, inspiring place where learning is both fun and impactful. I couldn’t recommend it more (and already have to many friends)!

  • As a professional in the early childhood community, I love taking my staff to tour Pando Little School. They always come back refreshed and inspired because Pando is one of the most innovative schools out there. Their extreme dedication to nature-based learning and the Reggio-Emilia approach is unlike any other.

  • I waited a while to post this. The owner is nice. But the staff in the toddler class is a mess. We went in for a trail day because they had an opening and it has a great reputation. I stayed the day in the infant class in case things went sideways as my child has ASD. I took her snacks and water informed staff that she was in feeding therapy to just give her what I brought if she didn't eat what they provided. When we all met for outdoor play my kid was not taken out with her water bottle. I offered her the one I had and she drank the whole thing. When I asked about snacks they told me she didn't eat and when I asked if they had given her what I brought they had forgotten about that. Took her inside and fed her. When I was done with the day still on school grounds waiting on the front yard area as my infant didn't want to nap, and went to go get my toddler the teacher was surprised and asked " oh Ms Melissa told you? " I asked what she was talking about and they informed me that my child had an explosive poop situation and they took her outside and hoses her down vs just going outside to tell me anything. Mind you staff all have cells on them. How do I know this wasn't photographed or something? When I checked my childs shirt was even charged. When I asked about that she said she didn't know how she got poop on her shirt . Nothing like this has ever happened with my child or since. Easy to say it was agreed we weren't a good match for each other. In the infant class there was also a boy that was literally hurting other kids by pushing them and closing the toy house windows and pushing on kids fingers. The teachers response was to cater to that child vs removing them from the situation. Also the neighbors next door smoke enough pot that you can smell it in the yard.
