  • Worst daycare experience ever. This establishment is highly unprofessional. They will tell you one thing and do another completely. On my daughter’s first (and only) day there, I talked to the staff about allowing my daughter to call her mom if she needed to and the staff told me that was totally fine. Later that day my daughter asked the teacher to call mom and was told no. At home that day my daughter expressed how bad the day was and for reasons detailed in her mom’s review we decided to pull her from the school. They told us they would wave the two week notice. After business hours they call me to say they will not be waving the notice because of a poor review. Had they conducted themselves with professionalism through this I would not be writing now and would have been willing to leave it be and move on but when people refuse to take accountability and work with families but rather argue, blame, and renege I feel the need to say something. Would not recommend.

  • As other parents have indicated, this place is HORRIFIC. I feel so sorry for any child who is in their care. My daughter attended one day. They are the absolute worst center I have ever seen in my life and I’ve seen a lot of bad daycares. On that day, staff had her change out of her clothes. There was no accident, no spill, no water play, no mess — no reason for it. I was not notified beforehand and got no explanation afterward. She was upset and asked to call me. They told her she couldn't. I called and left voicemails. No one called back. I had to go in person to get a response. When I asked why her clothes were changed, I still got no explanation — I was told they "knew I would be a problem" because I had asked questions about their transportation vehicle and car seat installation. They refused to waive the two-week ECECD transfer period for a child who attended one day. They finally agreed, but only after I stood there and argued for a solid 15 minutes. EDIT: they saw this review and then called, threatened me, and then said they were not going to waive the 2 weeks because of this review. It’s also worth it to mention that when I asked about the other awful reviews they have, they blamed parents for not having “emotional regulation” and took zero accountability. Please do not send your child here!!!

  • My child has attended Rayito de Sol for nearly a year now. I myself do not speak fluent Spanish but can understand and speak more then they probably know or I let on. I am pleased with most everything. Estephanie is AMAZING, she is very protective of my child, caring and concerned. Even when something is not right with the place she has let me know and told me how they are correcting it. It is a close family like environment that I can see and am glad my child gets to be there. I obviously trust them completely with my son or he would not be there. They take lots of pictures of the kids and even print some out to give to me! On the rare occasion an incident has occurred, twice in 1 year, I get a report and an explanation, things happen, kids will be kids. I do not speak fluent Spanish so at times I do need extra support to get the gist of something, again my choice to send him to a 90% Spanish speaking daycare. I am appreciative of them for the love they show my son.

  • Parents- please do not use them for any type of daycare service. My nephew was there less than a year and he would come home with bites and scratches and most of time staff could never tell us what happened because they didn’t know. They constantly lost items that he would take with him, they would make them put their shoes on backwards and filled with sand from the playground, and the worst part is they would leave the main door open even though there is a busy street right outside the door. It was always so dangerous because sometimes they were not watching the kids and they could easily have stepped out or a stranger could easily come in and no one would know. When confronted with issues they would never take accountability and would actually get defensive about it. On top of that, my nephew and even other kids have said staff hits them. UNACCEPTABLE! For the safety of your kids please find them a better day care with people that actually care about kids.

  • My son has been going to this facility for the last few months. There are so many issues with this place I don’t even know where to begin. First, they lost a couple of my things that I would take for my son. When he would get picked up there were more than 2 times where his clothes were wet and that’s how they would put him to sleep, with wet clothes!! When confronted they wouldn’t even know how to respond and didn’t even know he was wet. There were also a few times when he was picked up and his shoes were put on backwards. When confronted they would tell us that it was because kids should be more “independent” but in a learning center you TEACH them how to be independent instead of letting them be uncomfortable all day long with their shoes on backwards. There were several times when he would be wearing other kids clothes at the time of pick up and would argue with me that it was the clothes that was in his bag but how would other kids clothes be in his bag ? They simply didn’t pay attention to what things belonged to the children because of their lack of organization. And lastly the most important thing is that there was an alarming amount of times when going to that facility and the door was not locked, it was completely open to anyone so the children were NOT safe as anyone could just walk in there. Would never recommend this facility to anyone as they are unorganized, not careful, and simply not doing what a learning center should be doing.

  • My son attended this daycare for about 5 months. Everyday he would come home telling me stories how the staff are mean to the children. When my son was told he wasn’t welcomed there that was my last straw. I asked the director about it and she said it was another staff member. Come to find out she lied and it was her mistreating the kids the whole time. Everytime I would pick up my son there would be toddlers crying unattended. I do not recommend this daycare. Leaving one star was being courteous.
