  Rising Star is a preschool next door to my apartment. When I moved next door 5 years ago I was delighted. I have welcomed the children in my yard for their various 'field trips' to discover various bugs and flowers. I love kids and have been happy to hear their playing next door through the day, until lately. The teachers have taken to allowing the children to screech and scream at play time beginning in early morning. I believe it's healthy for them to let off steam in constructive ways, and teach them about limits. Yet very high pitched screams are now the usual every morning. My yelling 'quiet' just induces the children to climb up the common fence to scream at me as the 'adults' encourage them and join in. What is being taught to the children? How to harrass your neighbors? How will this teach our children to grow into peaceful problem solving adults? This is not creative teaching. Teachers, show the children how to grow up by doing so yourselves.

  Irma is such a wonderful person, cares about all the kids like her own and makes sure the parents are in the loop of the daily activities that are planned for each month. I was nervous putting my daughter in a daycare, but she LOVES going here, I am very satisfied with this place :)

  Went to pre school here 13 years ago, and I loved every second of it. Glad to see it's still going strong and operated by Miss Irma. She makes really good Spanish rice.

  Both my son and daughter have spent several years at Rising Stars before going to kindergarten and they have LOVED it! Before finding this school, my wife and I struggled to find quality care for our kids at a reasonable price. Drop off is as early as 7:30am and pickup is at 5:30pm. Breakfast, lunch and snack are provided. This is about as good and convenient as it gets for working parents!! Mrs. Irma and her staff take care of the children like they are their own. The kids have fun, they respect one another, they are kept safe and they always have fun projects and events to work on throughout the year. We've enjoyed the school so much!! I wouldn't send my kids anywhere else.
