Child Haven

Only reason I gave it 1 star because I knew it would next be the comment section. I had been there in 1964/1965 twice and it both times had been a nightmare each time. I was physically abused and so we're my other 4 siblings. Memories embedded in my brain. I'm sorry I know some of the children didn't have to experience what we did, thank God. And to mention St. Jude's Ranch was the BEST experience I had. All 5 of us kids were treated very good. The nuns who took care of everyone there were great in 1966/1967. My name is Karen Woodward and I am now 68 years of age. And the time I was at Child Haven I will never forget.

Some of the other kids were unruly. I believe the staff does their best. I felt safe, all in all. I’m sure you dont work there if you didn’t have a heart for helping misplaced kids. The dr’s appointments were a waste of time but the staff that took me were way cooler than the staff in the cottage. The outings were fun. It was nice to get out and feel normal again. I can see that the staff here truly cares. Just some more then others

the pain I endured while being there was Trau Mendes one of the staff members had touch my behind, I'm not putting any names but he also took me in the bathroom one time one boy had got me drunk and graped me in a banded apartment and at child haven a baby had died and yes, I'm suing because of this. my grandma got evicted I was homeless for weeks on top of weeks I got tressed passed from my home all there good for is breaking families apart don't send your kid there no matter what even if it's for the behaviors all they care about is the money

This place was an absolute nightmare. The outings were fine, the food was okay, the bathroom didn’t even have a door in bigelow and the night stage were rude and the morning staff were also rude besides Ms.Rebecca. And yes I’m talking about you ms Shawna. This is Chloe Yonnie. And I don’t think I want to come back here AGAIN. also if Tierra and Sahriya still there tell em I said wassup.

The place was really cool and all, but there's a lot of people that had to leave back because I had a lot of friends at child Haven about like I'll see like 4 but I really miss them so much, and I even had a boyfriend and I didn't even get to really see him that much because he was already at school and I didn't really get in to school because I just in my room all the time, I was just sitting there and everyday, I will wait till my boy friend and his sister to get there. Because all of my other friends were on course at school, but I didn't really get enrolling to school until I got into child Haven but overall is really cool. I just didn't really get to see my friends that much because they have school, and I did it they're in a different state, and I am in a different state. Yeah, I'm not even sure if my boy friend is still liking me because we're in a different state, and my friend at a different school had said that maybe she's probably like cheating on me, because we're in a different state, but that's all past me now, and I don't really talk to him as much. So, yeah, thank you, Child Haven for making my life not happy, even though you guys we're like really cool, but I do really like that state, kind of anyway, thanks for listening bye.
