I moved to the Las Vegas area and wanted to check out the synagogues. When I visited ner Tamid , I was very surprised that no one welcomed me. Even at onig, no one seemed to want to talk to me. I sat at a table and no talked to me, everyone was interested in their own clicks. I’ve been to a lot of synagogues and have never seen anything like this. I don’t think this would be a good fit for my family.
Justin SanisloApr 24, 2026This is not a friendly or welcoming congregation. They constantly talk about how welcoming they are but but I have never felt welcome there. In the time I have gone there they have had three rabbis and none of them have given me the time of day. Surprisingly this is the only synagogue I have ever heard of that believes animals don't have souls and will not do the prayers when animal family members pass. And will not even show basic compassion. It is very political and judgmental. People who go there seem to have a real need to feel virtuous. Feeling virtuous and being virtuous are not the same thing.
Howard AshMar 4, 2026We are looking to move to Nevada and last night we checked out this Temple for Shabbat. Only one person greeted us. My temple back home we make sure everyone is welcomed. We see a new person and we surround them and make them feel welcomed. We unfortunately sat in seats surrounded by people who needed to speak throughout the service and it was quite annoying to say the least. The one nice aspect was that many kids did come and participate.
bruni wittFeb 14, 2026The most finest Synagogue and School in Henderson. The Rabbi, the teachers , the staff are phenomenal. ‘A CLASS ACT’! Extremely CLEAN, LOVING, RESPTFUL ,, KINDNESS . AND LOVE !
KAMMY JONESApr 14, 2025I've been a congregant of Nair tummy on and off now for about 7 years and I say it's a beautiful temple with a lot of good stuff going on but the highlight of the temple is the rabbi he's a terrific man a wonderful person and I just love listening to his sermons and prayers the panther has a beautiful voice but she lacks personality she's not friendly or warm at all and I think she's a little bit impressed with herself or maybe that comes with the territory but all in all I enjoy services Friday evening and I try to get involved as much as I can
Glenn KalafMar 16, 2022If I had been told a year ago that today I would be attending services and classes here or at any other synagogue I would have laughed in their face, yet now I go. I love it, actually, and I look forward to going way more than I might have believed. The clergy are great, and the members of the congregation couldn't be more welcoming. If you're curious about Judaism or want to learn what being Jewish is all about I don't think you could find a better place anywhere in the United States.
