We are so grateful for Marissa and Mauri at AMA Family Daycare. When we moved from Puerto Rico to NYC, our daughter only spoke Spanish and was facing so many changes all at once. Marissa welcomed her right away, and together she and Mauri made her feel instantly at home. They created a warm, safe, and loving environment that made the transition seamless for our family. Mauri’s dedication to the children shines in every interaction, and she quickly built a strong bond with our daughter, giving her constant encouragement and care. Marissa’s kindness and attentiveness, whether with the littlest ones or older children, was always felt, and her thoughtful leadership made every day run smoothly. From the delicious food to the engaging activities, every detail showed how much they both genuinely care. Our daughter loved coming here each day, and the bonds she formed with both Marissa and Mauri will stay with her for a long time. We are only moving on because our daughter was accepted into a 3-K program, but we will always be thankful for the safe, nurturing environment they provided. They are truly amazing at what they do.
EstebanAug 15, 2025It's all in the name: AMA Family is a home away from home for the children who attend. My daughter A. attended AMA starting at 18 months old, and 3 years later our son D. started at AMA when he was 3 months old. There is an invaluable comfort knowing your children are in experienced hands and a loving place when they are at AMA. Marisa and Mauri create a safe learning environment where children gain social skills and learn through play. Ms. Marisa and Ms. Mauri truly love the children of the daycare as their own. Learning is kept fun by weekly themes such as planets, volcanos, and butterflies. There is a very fun outdoor playspace. So fun that my older child kept asking to go back to play there! A further unique benefit of AMA is the Spanish-English bilingual setting. Communication via text, photos and phone calls is excellent, and any concerns are always addressed and supported.
Megan WallnerAug 15, 2025Finding reliable, affordable child care is challenging these days. We first started sending our oldest to AMA when he was about a year old. We had such a good experience that we started sending our youngest when he was only 6 months old. Marisa and Mauri have been so loving and caring to our boys these past few years. We just don't know what we would have done without AMA.
Bokole BraunDec 24, 2023We love A.M.A.! Marisa and Mauri are wonderful and our son looks forward to each day with them. Highly recommended!
