Our family was at a Rising Star for a 3 years. The structure, curriculum, logic and love created the perfect environment for my toddler to thrive. Life long friendships were formed. I highly recommend this program to any family with young kids!
Kat RandelMar 11, 2025My wife and I, couldn’t be happier with our experience at A Rising Star Children's Center! Both of our children have attended, and it has been such a joy to see how much they’ve grown and learned during their time there. The staff are exceptional—caring, attentive, and truly passionate about the well-being and development of every child. They’ve gone above and beyond to create a safe, nurturing environment where children feel secure and loved. Our kids have thrived, not just academically but socially and emotionally, thanks to the enriching programs and hands-on learning activities. The daycare’s focus on fostering creativity, independence, and kindness sets it apart from others. It’s so reassuring to know that our children are in a place where their individuality is celebrated and their growth is prioritized. From the engaging curriculum to the warm, welcoming atmosphere, A Rising Star Children's Center is truly a gem for families seeking the best start for their little ones. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a daycare that feels like an extension of their family.
Andrew GyamfiDec 6, 2024Our family has had an incredible experience with A Rising Star in Croton, NY, part of the Hendrick Hudson School District. Our daughter started attending full-time at just 15 months old, and from day one, it felt like home. She absolutely loved every moment, and now, even as a kindergartener, she still looks forward to getting off the bus there during the week. The staff is truly exceptional—warm, attentive, and nurturing. They genuinely care about each child and go above and beyond to make sure every day is filled with fun, learning, and love. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and designed with the children’s comfort and safety in mind. One of the standout aspects of A Rising Star is their focus on early childhood education. The program is thoughtfully designed to ensure that children are school-ready, with a strong emphasis on foundational skills like early literacy, math, and social development. By the time our daughter started kindergarten, she was more than prepared, both academically and socially. The staff also supports every stage of a child’s development, from nap transitions to potty training, making what could be challenging milestones feel manageable and stress-free. Their guidance and patience made all the difference for our family during those critical early years. Perhaps the most beautiful aspect of A Rising Star is the sense of community it fosters. Many of the friends our daughter made as a toddler are still by her side today, and we as parents have formed what I believe are lifelong friendships with other families. Being new to the area, we didn’t know many people, but A Rising Star quickly became the heart of our community. If you’re looking for a daycare that offers more than just childcare—a place where your child can grow, thrive, and build lasting relationships—A Rising Star is exactly that. We can’t recommend it enough!
Danielle Devereaux ReedDec 4, 2024I am writing to wholeheartedly recommend A Rising Star Daycare based on our family's exceptional experience over the years. Our three children have attended this daycare from infancy through to kindergarten, and we have been consistently impressed with the care and education they've received. From the very beginning, it was clear that A Rising Star is a place where children are not only cared for, but truly valued. The staff is warm, kind, and incredibly dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment where children feel safe, loved, and respected. I always felt confident that my children were in great hands, and they looked forward to their days at daycare. What I appreciate most is the way A Rising Star encourages both emotional and intellectual growth. The emphasis on learning through play has allowed my children to develop critical skills like independence, social interaction, and problem-solving, all while having fun! It’s evident that the staff is focused on helping children grow into confident, curious individuals who are excited about learning. Additionally, the daycare’s outdoor space is absolutely fantastic. With plenty of room for outdoor activities, playtime, and exploration, my kids have had countless opportunities to stay active, connect with nature, and build lasting memories outdoors. Overall, I cannot recommend A Rising Star Daycare enough. The nurturing environment, the focus on learning, and the wonderful staff make it a truly special place for children. I am so grateful for the positive impact it’s had on our family and would highly recommend it to any parent seeking the best care and education for their child.
Dustin D.Nov 20, 2024I cannot say enough good things about A Rising Star - the only downfall I have is not finding it any sooner. I currently have 3 children attending here, and each one loves it. My 4 year old loves the homemade food and activities he does each day. He has learned to count to 100, name all the planets in order, identify and write all letters of the alphabet, and how to be kind, patient, and loving. I know when he starts Kindergarten in a year, he will be more than ready. My infant twins also love going and have made strong connections with their teachers (the smiles and hugs they give to the teachers just melt my heart). Gloria, the owner, has also been very accommodating. I would describe A Rising Star as warm, loving, and a place for growth. We are very happy to be a part of A Rising Star family.
Amelia SilvermanJun 30, 2021Our family choose A Rising Star based on the educational program they offer and the fun the kids have spending their day with Gloria and her staff. It was important for us to know that our girls were in a safe place all day where they were learning, playing, and making friends. What I loved was that our girls come home every day having learned a lesson, song, and viewed pictures on a different topic - all in really creative ways! They were always excited to tell us what they learned that day. Our two girls attended A Rising Star from the ages of 2 ½, and 10 months old. The community of kids, their families, and all of your teachers at A Rising Star are really special. Gloria was not only my girls' teacher but a good friend to me and my family. When I faced a health issue with one of my parents, Gloria lent an ear and a caring shoulder too. Gloria is a wonderful person and someone I am so glad my girls got to grow up with. Knowing our girls were in such good hands and experienced really creative ways to learn, has left an impact on my entire family. A few other things I love about this program are: • The creative ways the kids learn through unique lessons, projects, and crafts. • The kids go outside almost every day so they get to experience the weather and seasons. • Breakfast, lunch, and snack are served. • The attention and care during potty training was really great. • A Rising Star often stay opens when snow causes school closures as many parents still need to be at work. • The holiday and graduation parties are a wonderful opportunity to see the kids sing together and to get to know the other families. • I LOVE the daily emails on what the kids learned and their cute answers. I would forward it my sister, my parents, and my in-laws. It’s everyone’s favorite email of the day by far!
