The best daycare ever! The staff are absolutely incredible, especially Ms. Armand, Ms. Banks, and Ms. Liz. My son talks about them all the time. He has been attending since he was 3 years old, and now he’s 4. Even though he’ll be starting kindergarten in September, we’ll definitely still stop by to visit since we’re only about 3 minutes away. Every morning he’s excited to get ready because he genuinely looks forward to going to daycare. This isn’t just a place where children are watched—it’s a place where they learn and grow. The teachers provide educational lessons and send home activities for the children to complete and bring back the next day so they can review what they’ve learned. The kids have so much fun with engaging lessons, creative activities, and exciting field trips. The staff also do an amazing job communicating with parents by providing daily reports, photos, and updates, which gives me peace of mind knowing how my son is doing each day. I truly appreciate everything they have done for my son. I highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a safe, caring, and educational environment for their child!
Alexandra Jean-PierreJul 18, 2026My Daughter has been going here since January and she and I loveee it !! Mrs Armand, Mrs Liz , and Mrs Banks are all fantastic. The way they love their students I do not worry when I send my child to school. They make learning fun for the kids my daughter has learned how to read since being there , and is now learning and understanding math and how to add. Hands on experiences with gardening and learning out the world works. In the last 6 months shes learned way more here than she did at her last school. This school, these teachers they are amazingly kind and absolutely the kind of people you can trust your kids with and for me thats very important. 10 out of 10 highly recommend!
Bianca LoveJun 15, 2026A Step Ahead is still by far the best daycare. After having another baby and it was time to search for a daycare. I knew I didn't have to search far. I gave Ms Armand a call and everything was just as we left off. Obviously as the years passed the daycare has only gotten better. When your child is enrolled here you honestly don't have to worry about anything. Your child is in a loving safe environment. Ms Armand makes learning fun in every way. Your child will be able to read, write, recognize site words and count before they even hit kindergarten. Your child will learn potty training and develop independence, learn social skills and so much more.
Jatara EdwardsMay 14, 2026I Do NOT recommend this daycare based on my experience. My child was only enrolled for one week, and during that time I experienced issues with communication, organization, and professionalism. There was confusion around the payment schedule. I made an effort to “clarify” expectations in advance, but the information provided was inconsistent, and the terms seemed to change afterward, which was frustrating. Mrs armand says things and back peddles like she didn’t say it, and when called out on it she dismissed me and told me I had a tone issue and told me I’m not a good fit for her daycare. As a black woman it’s heartbreaking how she talks down to others, she’s not compassionate and comes off money hungry. We needed to pay her three weeks via cash before my daughter started and she once we paid her for one week she required two weeks payment the following week and after the one week payment was sent. She’s not for the kids she “pretends”like she does but only in it for the money honestly. Mrs Armand has a serious power trip/control issue and is not professional at all. Her communication also came across as very dismissive and condescending when I was simply trying to get clarity as a parent. I did not feel supported or respected in my interaction with her, which is extremely important when trusting someone with your child. In terms of organization, my child’s personal items (including sheets/blanket were misplaced within the first week, which raised concerns for me. There also seemed to be inconsistency in policies—for example, being told that shoes were not allowed, while observing others walking through with shoes on. While frequent photos and videos were shared, it did not make up for the lack of clear communication and overall structure. Ultimately, this was not a good fit for my family and I will definitely find better. I believe daycare providers should prioritize clear communication, “consistency”, organization, and respect toward parents, and unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
Miss Pinkapples (Misspinkapples)Apr 27, 2026We’ve had a wonderful experience with this daycare for both of our daughters (ages 4 and 2). The staff truly care about the children and always make us feel comfortable knowing our kids are in a safe and nurturing environment. What really stands out is how much the kids are learning every day — from social skills to educational activities that support their development and confidence. We’ve seen so much growth in both of our daughters since they started here. The teachers are attentive, patient, and genuinely invested in helping each child succeed. Communication with parents is great, and it’s clear they put a lot of effort into creating a positive and structured atmosphere. We’re very grateful for the care and dedication they show, and we highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a supportive place for their children to learn and grow.
Shahraj KhanFeb 11, 2026A Step Ahead Daycare has been exactly that- A Step Ahead. Our son has been going to this daycare since he was one and half. He is now three years and two months and can already spell/read/write his name, trace letters and numbers, count to 100, recognize site words, colors, and shapes. He knows different community workers, the concept of 911 and emergencies. He learned how to share, to try different foods, how to put ingredients together to make delicious muffins and cookies. He learned all about the seasons, holidays, and had incredibly thoughtful parties to celebrate it all! As first time parents who had a previous bad experience with daycare, we can truly say this experience has been exceptional. The level of professionalism, dedication, structure, and care that goes into the everyday with your child is worth every penny and ounce of peace. Miss Armand and her lovely staff has become part of our village and a key component to the growth and start of an amazing educational path for our son. We are delighted to say we are parents of A Step Ahead Daycare!
