This daycare is the epitome of mediocre. I wasn’t concerned for my kids’ safety here, but it felt like leaving them in a prison. This place is truly not adequate or stimulating enough for children over the age of 3. The owner pretends to be caring, but is an elderly woman that is tired and stuck in her ways. You can tell that the lead teacher for the older class is also unhappy and not very friendly after you initially enroll your children there. The staff here is tired and unhappy. When I asked too many questions about what my children were doing during the day, the owner said “She doesn’t like complaints” and asked me to find another daycare for my children ( 5 and 3 years old). Truly mediocre and sad. Poor quality childcare.
Stephanie ShmuelOct 22, 2024After hearing from other parents that they were having similar issues we were all able to find a loving and compassionate daycare for our littles away from this place. The owner is cold and tried to diagnose my child with a disorder which is wayyy outside her scope of practice. Luckily with a new provider we astonishingly havent had ANY issues. Joanne had us jumping through hoops to get a diagnosis for our child for a problem that didnt even exist! The amount of stress my husband and I endured still hurts my heart. Im so grateful to have found a provider who is passionate about working with kids on an individual level and not just trying to get them meds and a diagnosis. My kids felt the bad vibes from this place and made it known from the moment she was forced into a room with the owner.
Danielle AlbrechtSep 10, 2023I would not recommend this daycare. The owner does not hire adequate staff. The owner is only interested in making money. NOT providing safety for the children. I know of a serious incident that occurred there and the staff was told not to report or mention it to the parents. Please beware.......we need to protect our children.
Lisa Marie ShermanMay 11, 2023This place is absolutely amazing! The owner does whatever she can to make parents and students feel welcome! My daughter is attending the summer camp, and we can’t love it more! Just wish I found it sooner!
Brittany UvaAug 11, 2022My son has been there for 2.5 years and loves it, he walks in smiling in the morning and is happy when I pick him up after work. He is learning and having fun.
Nicole JorgensenJun 26, 2018Love this daycare and love the staff. Very loving, caring and very affordable. My son has sensory processing disorder and anxiety. The staff works well with him and he feels very comfortable there. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

- Yes. Alphabet Tree holds New York registration 41808, listed as "LICENSE" by the Office of Children and Family Services, issued on August 15, 2022 and current through August 14, 2026. Confirm current standing with OCFS before enrolling.
What kind of child care is Alphabet Tree?
- New York licenses Alphabet Tree as a Day Care Center (DCC), which is centre-based care in non-residential premises. The category comes from the state's own register, not from the provider.
What ages does Alphabet Tree care for?

Which school district is Alphabet Tree in?
- Alphabet Tree sits in the Marlboro school district, in Ulster County. New York records the district on the licence, which matters for school-age care and transport.
Does this page show inspection results for Alphabet Tree?
- No. New York's public child care roster carries no violation or inspection fields, and no separate statewide dataset of them was found, so nothing here reflects Alphabet Tree's inspection history either way. Look the provider up in the OCFS child care search to read its violations and whether they were corrected.
