Love the looks of the curriculum and the integration of Spanish language! Haven’t been able to get a hold of someone for 1.5 months for a tour or additional information. Would have loved for my soon to be toddler to attend if communication was a bit easier.
Yeniffer Ruiz FernandezJul 15, 2025Amiguitos was such a special place for my son! His Spanish is excellent after their immersion philosophy. I loved the Montessori approach and Maria is magic. I learned so much from her and often asked her for tips and tricks as I navigated first time parenting. Additionally, the community we built there was so special and we have remained close even as our children have moved into preschool/kindergarten.
Sarah RichardSep 14, 2024Amiguitos is a rare and special place, and Maria Santos is genuinely gifted with children. Our daughter attended Amiguitos from 8 months old until she entered pre-K, and I am so happy with the little girl she is growing up to be through Maria’s care. Our daughter was talking from an early age in both Spanish and English, and she now speaks Spanish in complete sentences comfortably. We do not speak Spanish at home, so I owe this all to Maria. Additionally, we loved the Montessori instruction, which has instilled in our daughter a sense of pride and satisfaction in doing things independently for herself (like cleaning up her toys, putting on her own shoes and hanging up her things) and for our household (like swiffering the floors, helping me load the laundry machine and emptying the dishwasher). There were many little things I learned from Maria over the years, as well; for example, the Amiguitos always count to 20 in Spanish when washing their hands, and so we did that with my daughter and she learned how to count at, I think, a really early age! We also love that the children go out for neighborhood walks and trips to nearby playgrounds pretty much everyday—the people at the aviary sanctuary and local food trucks recognize the kids!—and they enjoy a full 9-5/5:30 day of age-appropriate activities with no phones and zero screen time. What sealed the deal for us from an early point was Maria’s temperament; she is a fountain of positive, calm energy with bottomless patience. I often see nannies at playgrounds who are either on their phones or getting cross with the children, and I did not want that for my daughter. We got everything what we hoped for (100% positivity and Spanish language exposure) and more (Spanish fluency, Montessori education, tight-knit community and the flexibility of a small daycare center). We will miss Maria and Amiguitos dearly!
