  • Bay area head start is a wonderful place to have your little ones, go to. My children has had a wonderful experience. All the staff are very kind and polite. My I add Carol is doing a wonderful job running the show.

  • If you are a UPK parent, please do not send your child to this location! They allow violent kids to hurt other children and continue in the classroom the next day. Please consider another UPK provider because the school district can not over rule their policies. We were in the program for less than a month and I pulled my child because of violent children.

  • My son attended UPK here through William Floyd. He is a 'covid kid's and was barely three when the virus started and EVERYTHING shut down. He was at home with me (his mom) 24/7 for a year and a half and he would've happily stayed doing that. He had a very rough transition to pre k. All I can say is that k goodness for a few key staff members there that made that rough transition so so much better!!! specifically Ms. Lynne and Ms Carol. They were ALWAYS there when he was struggling, they always had time for him to go to their offices, take a walk or work in the garden even though I'm sure they had mountains of other work to do. They are both so warm and nurturing and I always knew when they were there that my boy would be ok. I don't know that we would've lasted the year had it not been for the two of them. There are also a couple assistant teachers that went the extra mile for my son (and even his older sister), Ms. Trudy and Ms. Eileen. They were fantastic and made me feel so much better about having my son in a school where he was struggling to fit in and regulate his emotions. Head Start is incredibly lucky to have such outstanding employees who absolutely go above and beyond what the job entails. Can't thank them enough

  • An amazing place for kids to go and lean not sure what your kid learned @SARA MANEK. It sounds like you want your kid to be stupid and not excel in school.

  • Do not recommend this pre k at all. Carol is the main reason why these kids didn’t do anything like the other head starts did. Very sad. I was told there would be tons of things going on, but there was NONE and when I say NONE I mean NONE. Example: police and fire dept. came to school but not for us. They have other things they did and we didn’t. Carol will tell you because of Covid but it isn’t the truth is just Carol. I never make reviews but this was MUCH needed. Hope this helps you all make your decision on Pre k.
