  • We’ve been part of this wonderful nursery school community for several years. Our son attended for three years, and our daughter is now entering her third. We truly can’t recommend it highly enough! The teachers are warm, caring, and genuinely invested in each child. It’s clear they foster a nurturing environment where kids feel safe, seen, and celebrated. The school’s “learn through play” philosophy has been such a gift. It encourages curiosity, creativity, and confidence in ways that feel natural and joyful. Our children have truly thrived here, thanks in large part to the school’s thoughtful emphasis on emotional development. Our son entered kindergarten not only well prepared academically, but also ready to be a kind, empathetic friend and a respectful member of a classroom community. One of the school’s greatest assets is its incredible outdoor space. It’s huge, beautiful, and used daily, giving the kids endless opportunities for exploration and movement in all seasons. We’re so grateful to have found a place that our children have absolutely loved and that we trust wholeheartedly.

  • We love BNS! Our daughter started in September and had a really tough time separating from us. The teachers were so kind, reassuring and patient. She now goes in happily and doesn’t even look back! Our daughter loves to be outside so the spacious back yard is perfect for her. We also love the play-based curriculum, it’s so fun and creative. We enjoy seeing the crafts and paintings she makes - for Thanksgiving they made their own wreaths. Cannot say enough good things about this school!

  • A truly magical play-based school, BNS is just what we were looking for when considering nursery school options. The play-yard at BNS is unmatched to any I have seen, the teachers are so incredibly caring and kind, and the community has been welcoming and supportive. All of this has made BNS the perfect environment for a little toddler to learn, explore, grow and prepare for the school years to come.

  • BNS holds a very special place in my family's heart as it's been a home to our two children since 2019. My eldest, now entering 2nd grade, was very well prepared for Kindergarten because of BNS's focus on social-emotional development, which is foundational for elementary school success. Her teachers specifically noted her ability to pay attention, follow directions, and her kindness/empathy for others - all which I directly credit to BNS's curriculum. My youngest, now entering his final year at BNS also thrives in this environment where we've seen him blossom from a somewhat shy child into an independent explorer and participator - his teachers have nurtured his confidence and he can truly feel the love. And on a final note, no other school in the area has a yard like BNS - acres to explore complete with a playground, bicycles, a playhouse, blacktop, two sand pits, garden, green spaces, etc. When kids reach elementary school, recess is only 20 minutes long -- so this opportunity to play freely and "just be a kid" is treasured!

  • I am so beyond fortunate to have been part of the BNS family for over 2 years and that both of my kids had the opportunity to attend both school and camp there. The teachers helped navigate my sons speech and behavioral needs, and without their support and guidance, i wouldn't have been able to navigate the IEP system or advocate for/obtain the support my son is getting today. They also were beyond accomodating and compassionate when dealing with his needs. While we are no longer in the district/area, both of my kids still ask to visit their BNS teachers. The classroom environment that was created for my children was always warm and inviting (especially during the challenging and confusing times of COVID) and is something I will forever be grateful for.

  • We love BNS! Our son has been at the school the last two years and has had a wonderful experience. All of the teachers are attentive, caring, and supportive of each child and their individual needs. The play-based education structure is wonderful for the children’s social and emotional development. Our son truly looks forward to school each day and we plan to send our daughter when she is ready as well. Highly recommend
