Our experience with this Bright Horizons location was incredibly frustrating and disappointing—especially given the reputation the brand carries. After touring the facility with our son, we were genuinely excited about the opportunity for him to attend pre-K here. The tour went well, the environment seemed promising, and we felt confident enough to move forward. We promptly completed all required registration documents, paid the registration fee, and were told we’d hear about next steps shortly. And then—radio silence. After a full week with no communication, we followed up multiple times via phone and email. Each time, we were met with vague responses and unclear timelines from Melissa, Ingrid and Alex. It quickly became clear that no one had concrete answers, and worse, no one was taking ownership of the situation. Eventually, and only after persistent outreach on our part, we were told by Ingrid here wouldn’t be a spot for our son after all. This entire experience felt like a complete lack of respect for families who are trying to plan their child’s education and care. We invested time, trust, and money—only to be strung along, ignored, and ultimately let down. What’s most disappointing is that this could have easily been avoided with transparent communication and basic professionalism. Instead, we were given the run-around, left in limbo, and forced to start our search all over again. Families deserve better—especially from a name like Bright Horizons.
Melissa BeroziJul 6, 2025My son started going when he was 3 and he will be graduating soon. It has been an absolutely amazing journey- he has learned so much and made a lot of friends. Their curriculum is great - every week is a different theme/topic. They work on math, writing, art, crafts, languages and outdoor activities. All the teachers are so nice and supportive. Thank you to all the staffs, Mrs Nicole, Ms Kelly Ms Charity, Ms Nida, Mr Alex and Ms Ingrid!
Kai HuangJun 17, 2024We transitioned to Bright Horizons after an abrupt end with our son’s nanny when he was almost 2 years old. Trusting your child in the hands of new caretakers and not having him in the house for the first time is a huge adjustment! Right away, we were put at ease by the caring and patience of his teachers, and he acclimated to the center almost seamlessly. We can follow his activities on their app and we see him happily joining in to reading, art, playtime and cooking activities with his friends all day long! In addition to the kind and steady staff, the management Mr. Alex and Ms. Ingrid are just wonderful people who are dedicated to making it a great place for families. They know every parent’s name and something about every kid, even my son’s stuffed animal gets a high five leaving every day! They are fair, flexible and very well organized. The staff has truly become beloved to my son. The well organized curriculum has helped my son’s development and now not only is he continuing to thrive with his milestones as much or more than he was in one-to-one nanny care, he is learning manners, structure, and socializing in ways we see him bring home each day. You are in great hands at Bright Horizons at Woodbury!
Melissa McEneaneyNov 2, 2023I could not be happier with the care my children have received at Bright Horizons in Woodbury. I could not have anticipated all of the ways that BH would benefit our family's life. The teachers and directors are loving, thoughtful, and transparent. I always feel like I have a good understanding of what my kid's day was like, both because of the communication via the app and the conversations I have with her teachers at the end of the day. The days are structured with lots of education and FUN. But most importantly, the teachers go above and beyond to connect with each of the kids, and it's clear that they care about them. The love and support that my child has received makes me feel like BH is an extension of my parenthood journey. Instead of daycare feeling like a stressful thing that I have to manage, it is a place where my child is learning and growing while surrounded by people who love her. A BIG shoutout to Ingrid, Alex, Ms. Jamie, Ms. Amy, Ms. Olga, Ms. Clara, and Ms. Jocelyn! You guys are the best!
Nelli ChowdhuryOct 25, 2023I had my kids attend Bright Horizons till 2021 starting from when they were 3 months old. Alex & Ingrid were really good to the kids. I once pulled the kids out because of the higher costs, but once I saw the difference between other places, it was night and day. Then I instantly returned them. This place provides very high quality care and education for the kids. The kids never complained about being bored or anything else. They loved every moment being there. Most of the teachers were very good. It all comes from the people who hired them. During the hiring process you try to get people who will fit well, mirroring their expectations and personalities. This is why overall this place is so positive and professional. Another big influence is Bright Horizons company itself. They have a lot of good policies and rules. Every Bright Horizons day care center must follow them. Combining both the company high quality policies plus (Alex & Ingrid) is the ultimate combination for one of the top day care centers on Long Island. Alex & Larisa
