Children of Promise are our neighbors across the street. We would not want it any other way. The counselors clearly are dedicated to what they do, and dedicated to the kids. It’s so fantastic to see such a great organization, giving guidance, love, structure to the kids, while their parents are Busy during the day. The counselors clearly know what they’re doing, the kids are always so well behaved, so friendly, and hearing that laughter is joyful, it’s like music. We’re grateful to have such fantastic neighbors across the street and getting future generations ready for what comes next in life. We love them, we glad they are our neighbors.
Dan MoynihanJul 25, 2025My son has been a part of Children of Promise since 7 years old. As a single mom, this organization has been a blessing for our family. The staff are absolutely wonderful as they provide so many services (afterschool program, summer camp, mental health services, arranged prison visits, parent meetings, and family events, giveaways). The staff is an extension of our family; anytime, I need anything or have a question, they are extremely responsive and always willing to help. They have been supportive in assisting us with issues that we experienced when it comes to dealing with the prison system (which has become more complicated than ever). But the biggest plus is how my son (who is turning 14 this year) has transformed into well-rounded, respectful young man from being part of this organization. CPNYC isna true safe haven for kids who have to deal with loved ones who are incarceratied as the society tends to turn their backs on us. I'm also happy that he is able to be part of this organization even to his early adulthood.🥰
GG JCJun 17, 2025My family and I enthusiastically endorse Children of Promise for their exceptional support of our eight-year-old daughter during a challenging period. The organization's professional staff deliver in-house therapy, summer camps, and homework assistance, fostering a safe and nurturing environment. Thanks to Children of Promise's intervention, my daughter has shown significant improvement in trust and self-confidence. I recommend this organization to anyone seeking exceptional support for their children.
Kyemia LennonAug 29, 2024I cannot say enough good things about this after school program! They take amazing care of the children, and truly put their health and wellness at the forefront. The cur after school curriculum includes daily help with homework, music, and playing games. The program hosts parties for the students such as a Halloween party, a Thanksgiving luncheon, and a Thanksgiving dinner. A Christmas party is being planned, in which snacks and gifts will be given out. It is a great service to the community as well for the parents. Everyone who works at the center is very friendly. Most importantly, they have a great rapport with the students. Overall, I feel blessed to be volunteering at this establishment. In my many years volunteering at Children of Promise, I have seen many young people that started young and came back as teenagers to “give back”. They are giving the younger ones the same nurturing they received at that age.
Dorothy JamesDec 18, 2023Children of Promise NYC is second to none with the work they do in the communities in which it serves and beyond. The opportunities exposure, and experiences that this dynamic organization affords its scholars are not only unique, but critical to their growth, development, and overall success .The support that scholars and families receive are invaluable. From after-school, to summer camp, off site engagements, community service, gifts, party, etc, CPNYC is cultivating generations of leaders. CPNYC continues to leave an indelible impact and I’m so fortunate to have found this organization. All those who play a role should be proud to be apart of CPNYC.
Neseemah ColemanDec 13, 2023I have had the pleasure of volunteering at their after school and Saturday resource center as well as mentoring a scholar at CPNYC for a year and a half now. The staff and the services they provide are unmatched in the NYC area. CPNYC is truly a special place filled with special people.
