  Hands down the best daycare ever! After reviewing tons of daycare around the Bronx / Mount Vernon area , I stumbled across Ellwood Family Daycare. I later requested a walkthrough of the daycare and immediately enrolled my 3 month old daughter in January 2020 . As a first time mother I was very scared to leave my newborn with anyone but Ellwood daycare made me feel safe. I contacted the daycare throughout the day and even requested pictures and videos my daughter. The staff was very accommodating and took care of my daughter as if she was their own. My daughter loves this daycare, she actually cried whenever I came to pick her up. Mrs remona is very active with the children. I was happy to find a daycare that actually teaches the children instead of just letting them watch tv all day like the average daycare. My daughter was walking, and talking by 1 and potty trained by 18 months . This September my daughter is starting kindergarten, and she’s already at the top of her class thanks to Ms Remona. ( my daughter’s reading , spelling and mathematic skills are advance for her age and I couldn’t have done it without Ms remona) If I have any more kids in the future, they will definitely be attending this daycare . If you’re looking for a good daycare, please look no further because spaces are limited. Yes they are that good! 😊

  PARENTS: Hurry up and grab your spot before she fills up, this place is A+ and the very best in the area My son started with Ramona in 2020 when he was about 1.5 years old, and as a first-time mom, I was very nervous, especially during COVID-19, but Ramona and her daycare quickly became a second family to all of us. She takes exceptional care of all the kids and provides them with the safest, cleanest, and most nurturing space you could want for your little one. My son was a late talker when he joined, and his speech flourished quickly, as did his social and gross motor skills, which we know are so crucial in those early years. She provides nourishing real food, which is hard to come across in childcare, and will work with each family individually to meet the child's needs where they're at and support them in every development area. The daycare is clean and beautiful, and you can always count on Ramona to decorate for every season/holiday in a unique way that provides the kids with fantastic memories. She will forever be my landscape and home decor inspiration! I recommend Ellwood Family Daycare to anyone searching for a high-quality, warm, and fun environment for their kiddos. My son left with lasting friendships, the best memories, and advanced in the foundation for learning in Pre-K and Kindergarten. We're eternally grateful and will always consider the Ellwood Daycare family.

  Our daughter has been going to Ellwood Family Group Daycare for almost two months and we are absolutely thrilled with our experience! When we first visited the facility, we really like how clean and organized everything is and how happy all the children were with the staff. From the first two weeks my daughter attended daycare, she was constantly whining because it was all new to her. Remona and Ms Paulette gave her the care and attention to make sure she feels comfortable. Now, she loves it, especially her friends and doesn’t want to leave in the afternoon. Everyday at pickup, Remona and Ms Paulette give us daily feedback of her progress. Remona is very sweet and incredibly responsive to our concerns and makes us feel like family. Their dedication is evident in how they interact with the children, offering education and a caring and supportive atmosphere. We can't express our gratitude enough for the positive impact they have on our daughter's growth and happiness. We are truly fortunate to have found such a wonderful daycare, and recommend Ellwood Family Group Daycare to any parent looking for a nurturing and loving environment for their child.

  I always tell Ms. Remona that I wish my mom and I had found her sooner. My 4 yr old son attended Ellwood Family Group Daycare right before his 2nd birthday & it was the best choice I ever made. Ellwood Family Group Daycare has been supportive of the care my children needed from day one and the communication is a plus. Staff is always warm and kind, it’s like a home away from home. My children have been very comfortable and cared for. Currently my 1 1/2 yr old daughter is learning a lot of new things, she knows various nursery rhymes, she’s counting, and is very educationally rounded for her age. Ellwood Family Group Daycare is definitely a stepping stone to prepare your child for the school age setting. We love it and more importantly, our children love it! I’ve never been concerned about the care my children received and is still receiving. They have been fed nutritious food, they participate in quality activities, they are making friends, and able to bond with staff. The daycare is immaculately clean . I get picture mail from time to time which is a plus for me as well. Overall excellent place for your child to be. I couldn’t have been more happy with my choice in choosing Ellwood Family Group Daycare. I would recommend beyond measures!

  After Covid, not knowing where I could trust to send my son for daycare was incredibly nerve wrecking and anxiety filled. We stumbled upon Mona’s Daycare and all our fears were removed. Ellwood Family Group Daycare is as if you are watching your own child and also giving them an education at the same time! I E it’s better than family!!! Our son was with Mona for almost 3 years and the only reason we had to leave was because we moved- and even then we still did the long commute as many other parents did bc it’s that’s good. The facility is incredibly clean, well kept, organized and safe. Not once did I ever feel concerned or worried about my child while in their care. In the summer they also did water play activities for the kids. We owe our sons appetite to the many offerings at the daycare and his love for fun and manners as well. He still has friends to this day and we are incredibly appreciate and grateful for the care that was show to our child and us as parents by Mona and staff. Hands down the best option in Mount Vernon.

  Run, don’t walk to register your child/grandchild to the care of Ramona and her staff. My grandson has been in her care for the past 3 years and we couldn’t ask for more. Ramona loves the kids in her care and it shows in so many ways. You know your child/ grand child is happy when he can’t wait to go to “Miss Mona.” Her daycare is spotless, well organized, and she loves the kids in her care! I recommend her to the fullest without hesitation. Your child will be loved, taken care of and will also learn. We have been very lucky to have her give our grand child such a great head start.
