  • We truly enjoyed our time at ECC. My child was exposed to new experiences, challenged academically and had so much fun! The time my daughter spent there has helped to set her up to excel . Her teachers are impressed with her foundational skills, she’s a fluent reader at 5 and I give ECC a lot of that credit.

  • I love excelsior child care Academy. The staff are amazing people I feel blessed and happy to know that my daughter is in an environment where the adults around keep her safe physically and emotionally. The staff is so nurturing and my daughter speaks about them with so much excitement and love in her voice and tells me they are all her favorite. She would tell me about acts of kindness teachers show her throughout the day. The curriculum is beautiful. It’s rich and assist the kids in every aspect it focuses on helping them build social skills and academic skills while offering them at a young age experiences that has meaning. My daughter is learning mandarin and Spanish at the school. The trips that are planned for the school in house and outside are good as well. The events that are planned around the school year allows family to be a part of I love. The food menu offers a healthy choice for breakfast lunch and after ion snack. The staff I love them at night my daughter always mentions the name of the staff when we pray God thank you for Ms fisher, thank you for Ms confidence and thank you for Mrs Hodge. Ms fisher has been working with my daughter teacher her how to write, read and it’s a bonus because it helps me with teaching her at home. Thank you Mrs hodge for bringing a Gem to Queens I believe in early child care education and excelsior child care has been a blessing to my family. To the wonderful staff God bless you all

  • I have mixed feelings about this place. Instead of acting robotic, relax and relate to parents and the children in a natural way. Stop nodding your head like an artificial intelligence machines when concerns are being expressed to you. Also, the amount of young people working here is also a red flag. They seem incompetent and inpatient, also non-tolereant of young kids. We are quite aware that some children are more energetic than others but still I am highly disappointed how things were handled here, expelled a 3 to 4 year old because an accident happened at the playground. On top of that it was recorded but nothing showed they were being attentive or watching the kids. Be very careful what you are recording. If that video was showed in court . Do you believe you will have a chance ? Do not push your boundaries! Gave me a less than 5 hour notice for him to quit it's a shame. Gave no room for preparation of arrangements of other childcare. I see they mentioned about I didn’t care about the other child. That is a blatant lie. I asked multiple times if the other child was ok to the person that called me. It's pathetic and sad. First time my son has had this experience in his life and it will surely be the last. My son also often comes back saying bad things he learned from the kids in this school like leave me alone I don't like you , we Nigerians don't speak like this . It's abnormal children this young to talk like that. It's a no-no. I don't want to mention the rest. He also has not been sick since he left here which was happening quite often while in attendance, not sure the reason. Update. I certainly did mention this to his pediatrician and she thought it was very bizzare and out of place. . one major disadvantages of this school is that since my son left here which he just turned 4years 24 hours ago. He’s always talking about the “police” more often and going to jail. It’s a sad day in society when you feel the need to introduce young children and toddlers to the idea of police and prison if they misbehave or are bad. This is sickening!!! Don’t take your kids here or they will infiltrate their young innocent minds with the idea of police and jail. Demonic times we are living in today. I wish we can leave videos on these comments. Any little thing that happens now he states. “I will take you to the police and they will lock you up. Wow . 👎 The only good thing about here is the extended hours from 730am to 6pm . Its definitely a good gesture for working and struggling parents for that I was grateful.

  • Very unprofessional, small and selective place. Not a large selection of toys and very small outdoor play place. I found a new better place with amazing teachers that know what they are doing, have lessons plans, are empathic, compassionate and scaffold children to where they need to be instead of pettiness and unnecessary charges. Yes my children have thrived elsewhere, no issues and so have I with professionals who demonstrate respect and emotional intelligence in their responses. I recommend anyone with any slight of hesitation to steer far away. Health is big to me also and the new place offers healthy foods and the teachers model those behaviors. Good riddance. Have no idea what is being referred to as safety and 2 yrs later nonsense. Just ridiculous and proves my point based on your reply. You violated my rights to privacy by contacting another daycare of which I willingly disclosed. Violate my privacy rights again and I will defend my family and take action. Enough is enough with discriminatory daycares such as yourselves.

  • My child has burst into this social butterfly after attending ECC. He’s excelling tremendously in his verbal and writing skills. I’ve noticed after going to this school it has enhanced his phonics when it comes to his reading. He’s able to tell me each letter and their sounds without assistance. He has become more compelled to try to read on his own at home as opposed to me reading to him. He enjoys completing his take home assignments. He knows all of his shapes and numbers beyond 20. ECC is a school full of sunlight literally. The facility is clean, spacious and organized. ECC takes the children on marvelous fields trips to museums, pumpkin patches and the list goes on. They take exceptional care in the safety of each child while on these field trips. I amongst many parents have witness this while chaperoning. When they can’t go out to explore the outer world they bring the fun to school. You name it they have it, from fun in the sun on their playground, real dinosaurs bones brought in by guest, dentist that come in to teach the children about their dental hygiene, science projects that the teachers assist them with to explore new outcomes. They have musical instruments like pianos, violins, drums and more that musicians affiliated with the school will come to show and have the children engage in. They offer the children the ability to learn a second and third language. My favorites is the after school movie and dance nights with the families. This school is extraordinary given its location and how much they have managed to provided our children. To the teachers that exercise patience and diligence in our children’s education and safety. The ECC community of parents that support the extracurricular activities of the school making it possible for our children to experience a variety of new things and excel while doing so. I am extremely grateful to how found this diamond in the rough. Thank you ECC!

  • We are so happy that we found this school. My daughter loves going to school and her teachers. Everyone at the school is great. I don’t know how they do what they do but I’m amazed at how much she knows for her age. They have trips and activities in the school that teaches them about all different cultures. They are always thinking of new ways to do fun things with and for the kids and their families.
