  • Top notch location next to train. Smart management. Beautiful rooms. As friendly as friendly gets honestly.

  • This place is a gem. The teachers are warm, sweet and organized. They redirect rather than punish and have a great understanding of childhood development. The owners are professional, friendly and go out of their way to make sure our questions are answered. They communicate quickly. I love the app they use that keeps me informed about what my child did, what they ate, when they used the bathroom, napped, etc. The classrooms are a good size. The backyard has a small playground perfect for young kids and they bring in extra curricular teachers like for music, sports, etc. But the best indicator to me is that my 3 year old LOVES going there and actually cries when she CAN’T go. As a parent, that is the best feeling

  • Our 11 year old attended First Stop Kids from Nursery until Pre-K, and she was fulled prepared for Kindergarten. Our now 5 1/2 year-old was at First Stop Kids from two months old until it was time for Kindergarten. I cannot say enough good things about Scott and his staff. It feels like a family, the children learn, they play, and they go outside often. The daycare has a very natural approach, and we liked that they balanced play with learning. It was just perfect for what we needed. They were open 7-7, and this was a huge help as our work hours changed here and there. Thank you guys. We miss everyone at First Stop Kids!

  • My daughter started there at 3 months and has loved everyday. She has really excelled there! The owner and staff are friendly. It’s also nice to have a place with great parents and quarterly “moms night out”.

  • We are so happy with the care, love and education our sons receive at First Stop Kids. The boys look forward to going to school and we feel confident that they're being well taken care of. We receive updates and photos throughout the day on their app, which are a nice reminder of how much fun the kids are having throughout the day!

Questions parents ask about First Stop Kids

Is First Stop Kids a licensed child care provider in New York?

Yes. First Stop Kids holds New York registration 787823, listed as "LICENSE" by the Office of Children and Family Services, issued on May 8, 2023 and current through May 7, 2027. Confirm current standing with OCFS before enrolling.

What kind of child care is First Stop Kids?

New York licenses First Stop Kids as a Day Care Center (DCC), which is centre-based care in non-residential premises. The category comes from the state's own register, not from the provider.

What ages does First Stop Kids care for?

New York licenses First Stop Kids for 8 infant places, 24 toddler places and 16 preschool places. Each figure is a ceiling the state set, not current enrolment.

Which school district is First Stop Kids in?

First Stop Kids sits in the Bellmore school district, in Nassau County. New York records the district on the licence, which matters for school-age care and transport.

Does this page show inspection results for First Stop Kids?

No. New York's public child care roster carries no violation or inspection fields, and no separate statewide dataset of them was found, so nothing here reflects First Stop Kids's inspection history either way. Look the provider up in the OCFS child care search to read its violations and whether they were corrected.
