  • We toured several preschools for our then 16 month old daughter. When we walked into Good Shepherd Lutheran School, the staff were very warm and the school itself was inviting. After learning about their infant and toddler programs, we left knowing we found the right place. Our daughter is now 3 and will be moving from the toddler class to the nursery class. Good Shepherd toddler program with Ms. Mimi and Ms. Dina has provided a fun, educational and caring environment for her. The staff members are excellent, creative, and highly skilled. It is very evident the staff love what they do, and they pour their hearts into the children daily. Our daughter has emerged and grown so beautifully under their tutelage, to which we are beyond grateful. In addition, the front office staff are also excellent. They are very thorough, proficient, and excellent communicators regarding logistics and business matters, etc. It is clear to us, the school is very professional and well-run. If possible, we would give even more stars!

  • My son attended Pre-K at Good Shepherd Lutheran School 4 years ago and he loved it. He enrolled in summer school last year and he had a blast!

  • All one has to do is walk through Good Shepherd School and you will know this is the place for your special child. At Good Shepherd each child is valued as a special creation of God. Having infant care though nursery programs, this special time of a child's life is spent in a loving/caring environment. In addition to a top drawer NYS accredited academic program and full OCFS license, Good Shepherd provides one more key experience: FAITH BASED programs where children learn how special they are as God's child...loved in everyway. All faith communities are welcome and respected. Children experience the love of God through classroom activities, chapel services at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and various community service projects. There simply is no other school or day care program like it. At Good Shepherd SPECIAL is how the children are valued because the teachers care deeply about each child, and provide that extra care that comes from knowing God values and loves them too.

  • Good Shepherd has been so beneficial to my 2 1/2 year old. The teachers are well-trained, dedicated and caring. The curriculum is educational, fun and effective. It's a very warm, friendly and nurturing atmosphere for the kids, as well as the parents. Another parent and myself assisted with a party and were AMAZED at how well-behaved and cooperative the children were. Just a week ago I heard my kid trying to sing God Bless America and recite the Pledge of allegiance! :-) I did visit a few pre-schools in the area and Good Shepherd was the only one that I felt comfortable sending my daughter to.

  • We absolutely LOVE Good Shepherd! It is very hard to find a school that is both nurturing and educational and they have done it perfectly. It is affordable, they offer before and after care and the classrooms are organized and structured. We love that they are set up just like the kindergarten and first grade classrooms in the area so the children get used to that kind of environment. The classrooms are so spacious, they have a separate gym, library and two fenced in playgrounds. Between the STEM program, Art class, Gym class, Music class, Movement class and iPads and SmartTable in every room, my daughter is truly blossoming and reaching her full potential. Most importantly, she is excited and eager to go to school everyday!

  • Good Shepherd is a excellent school. I have two children that currently attend and one that graduated from Good Shepherd. The teachers and staff are so warm and caring. The program provides a great balance of academic and social-emotional growth. I highly reccomend Good Shepherd.
