My grandchildren study there. Ms. Tamar is a very dear teacher.
Lyzbheth LeiteOct 4, 2025The incredible teachers at Honeytree led my Ms Tamar are true child whisperers. They all have a deep love and understanding of early childhood development and have really helped us understand the framework our little boy needs to learn and be happy. It’s WONDERFUL to see the kids in the forest being free 💗💗💗
Uzma HasanMay 19, 2025HoneyTree Forest School is not just a unique and nurturing place for children, it's a special community. The kids are in Prospect Park every day (weather dependent) where they play in the fields, go on hikes, climb, dig, craft, and nap in hammocks. In case of rain, and during winter, they attend "home base" in Bed-Stuy – an imaginative place with a tree house, mud kitchen, and prompts for play. The teachers and parents are a highly communicative and supportive group. Ms Tamar, who runs the school, is an experienced Waldorf educator. Her teachers have a wide range of experience as educators and expertise in handiwork and the natural world. As parents, we've made lifelong friends over the past year and our son has developed a deep relationship and fascination with nature that he'll carry through the rest of his life. Never expected to find a "forest school" in Brooklyn, but it exists and it's magical.
Nadia SMay 16, 2025The most amazing and special school. Tamar is a genius!
Evan FainApr 16, 2025We were lucky to host some of the Honey Tree parents community events at our business. Working with Tamar and watching the kids and families interact was different than any school we've worked with. What a special community!
Brooklyn GreensMar 27, 2025Honeytree Forest School is a hidden gem in the Brooklyn. This unique Waldorf forest school offers an incredible experience for kids aged 2.9-6. Spending most of the year in Prospect Park is a huge plus, and the teachers are fantastic. Very experienced and all have a close attention to each kid. We have two kids enrolled in the program. One of them is in her 3rd year! They are both growing in confidence, cooperation, imagination, and independence. We highly recommend the school. And the best way to do it is to attend their Sundays open houses and playdates with families of this incredible community.
