Loving Care has become a second family to us and our 2 year old son Jamie. It is a small at-home daycare run by a wonderful husband and wife team, Abi and Vanessa, with additional assistance. Jamie has absolutely thrived there alongside other neighborhood kids from babies to toddlers. A few things we especially love: They provide transportation to and from the Prospect Lefferts Gardens area, which has been incredibly helpful for 2 working, commuting parents. Our older son often gets jealous of Jamie’s sick ride to school. All of the meals are homemade and organic (most of the lunches they send photos of look better than mine). They provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and milk. They send adorable daily updates and photos of the kids’ meals, activities, dancing, music time, outdoor adventures, and special trips. The environment is bilingual (English + Spanish). The kids go outside every single day for playground time, walks, and activities. They regularly do music, dancing, and play instruments with the kids. Jamie had his own birthday party and serenade with acoustic guitar. Over the holidays, the kids bore witness to Santa delivering some gifts. The care feels deeply personal, loving, and family-oriented. They are incredibly affordable for the level of care and attention they provide. One thing that gave us extra comfort from the beginning: Abi handles transportation and used to be a NYC public school bus driver. We’ve always felt Jamie was in very safe hands, and the van is outfitted with car seats. We genuinely feel lucky to have found them and recommend them wholeheartedly to any local families looking.
