  • Our daughter spent one month at this nursery, and unfortunately the experience was awful. The first week was fine, but after that there was a complete change in her behaviour, something we had never seen before in her previous nursery. She began screaming and crying every morning at drop‑off, and this was not typical separation anxiety. It was a level of distress that immediately raised red flags for us. I called to discuss our concerns with the owner, and instead of listening, she went into a long lecture about how children “should be disciplined,” referencing her own children and grandchildren as justification. The tone and attitude were completely inappropriate and did nothing to address what our daughter was experiencing. We removed our daughter immediately and enrolled her at Discovering Me School in Larchmont. The change was instant, she went straight back to her normal, happy self and now loves going to school every day. That contrast told us everything we needed to know.

  • We’ve been at Nana’s Kids in the infant room for almost a year now and have had a wonderful experience. My daughter gets excited as we walk in the door. They’ve been very supportive of her development - they helped our transition into solid foods, away from bottles, and through dropping naps! The teachers (Ms. Jaime, Ms. Lisa, and Mr. Kevin - to shout out a few) treat my baby like their own. The hours and location are great. The whole place is filled with happy kids. We love getting pictures each day while our daughter is learning and playing! I’m consistently reminded that we made the right decision in our childcare.

  • My babies attended the day care from infants to preschoolers. This daycare is the most family orientated day care I have ever seen. The staff really care about the children and I never worried when my children were in their care. The teachers are pleasant, caring and took care of my babies as if they were their own kids. The owner Marney is awesome. She loves them kids as if they’re her own grandchildren. Marney is very involved with the day to day care and she makes sure the children have an amazing experience like no other facility. Marney makes sure our concerns are addressed in a timely manner and the safety of the children is her main focus. I recommend this day care to anyone looking for a family orientated facility with great staff and loving grandmother overseeing the day to day care.

  • We have been at this daycare for about 5 months now, and I truly can’t say enough good things. From day one, they made both my daughter and me feel completely comfortable. The staff is loving, patient, and genuinely invested in the kids. My daughter is excited to go each day (literally runs down the ramp to see everyone with arms open )which says everything. She has grown so much socially and developmentally since starting here. Communication is always clear, and I feel confident knowing she is safe, cared for, and happy while I’m at work. We are so grateful we found this place — it feels like a second family.

  • Terrible experience. The owner, (MARNY), is extremely dismissive and unprofessional. As a parent, you should be able to voice concerns about your child without feeling threatened or made to feel like you’ll be dismissed from the program. Instead of addressing concerns constructively, she responds defensively and shuts down communication. The level of care is unacceptable. I have picked my daughter up multiple times with dried snot all over her face, which shows a clear lack of basic attentiveness and hygiene. No child should be left like that. Not to mention the staff doesn’t even have the decency to clean the bottles when the children are done ? It’s laughable at this point The food situation is also concerning. Parents are not allowed to provide their own snacks or meals, yet the menu provided is low quality and portions appear insufficient. My daughter has come home hungry on multiple occasions. Charging premium tuition while delivering BELOW MINIMUM care is unacceptable. Overall, the environment feels poorly managed and unresponsive to parental concerns. I would strongly encourage other parents to ask detailed questions before enrolling their child.

  • Our daughter has been going to Nana’s Kids for about 5 months now, and we can’t say enough good things about it. We had been looking for a daycare after moving to the area, and a friend had recommended Nana’s to us. We looked at a few in the area, but none gave us the immediate warmth that we experienced when we first toured at Nana’s. We decided to enroll our daughter, and haven’t looked back since. She gets excited every time we pull up outside, and walks right in to join her classmates. She has learned so much in the short time she has been there, including counting, abc’s, animals, and good manners. She is always coming home with a craft that she made at school, or having learned a new song that she loves to sing. The teachers have all been wonderful, most of whom have been there for several years, and some decades. Even those that have only been there a short while are fantastic, and it’s clear that Nana puts a lot of thought in who she trusts to look after the children. It is not always easy leaving your child in the care of others, however we truly feel that everyone at Nana’s treat our daughter like one of their own. We are so happy and feel so lucky to have found such a warm, professional, and trustworthy place our daughter can go to and thrive while we are at work. If you’re looking for a daycare for your child, I can assure you Nana’s will exceed your expectations!
