  I’ll admit, because of my work schedule, I hadn’t been dropping off my daughters — I trusted that Mom “had it covered.” I have one attending full-time and two part-time. But after my brother encouraged me to see Nourishing Minds Daycare firsthand — he shares drop-offs and pick-ups with his wife — I’m so glad I followed his advice. From the moment I walked in, the staff welcomed me with warmth and care. My daughter was thrilled that I dropped her off; she proudly introduced me as her DADDY, gave me a quick tour of the daycare, and said, “This is my fun place! I love Ms. Claudine!” WOW — such profound truths can come from innocent children. Watching her complete her morning routine — greeting everyone, taking off her shoes and jacket, and putting them in her cubby — gave me complete peace of mind. It truly made my morning. Claudine and her team create more than a daycare — they nurture curiosity, confidence, and independence. They also foster focus and growth in ways that continue to surprise me. One example is puzzle time: my daughter went from completing 5-piece puzzles to tackling 50+ piece puzzles with amazing focus. Her development and improved speech are inspiring.   I truly love this daycare! My son has been attending since he was one year old and is now almost three. In that time, he’s learned so much from proper etiquette and independent skills to educational activities, focus, manners, and even basic Spanish. He looks forward to going every morning. Claudine is incredibly attentive and caring toward both the children and the parents. I receive daily updates, and she always shares helpful resources when available. As a single mother, having a daycare that understands our needs and is patient with my child has been such a relief. I’ve felt that support since day one.   As a first-time Black mom, choosing a daycare wasn’t just about convenience — it was about trust, representation, and a place that would truly care for and grow my child. Nourishing Minds Daycare has given me all of that and so much more. From day one, the staff welcomed us with warmth, patience, and genuine love. It’s clear that they see each child as unique, and they put in the time and energy to help every child feel safe, included, and valued. One of the things I love most is how they focus not just on nurturing my child emotionally and socially, but also on growing their intelligence. From interactive learning activities to creative play that builds critical thinking, they’re constantly encouraging curiosity and development in such a fun, age-appropriate way. I’ve seen such a beautiful growth in my child’s confidence and understanding of the world, and I credit so much of that to this environment. This summer, they even organized a pony ride experience — and what stood out to me the most was how they chose a pony that could accommodate children of different body weights.
