Recent parent reviews

  • We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Playcare. It’s such a warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring environment for both children and parents. Xann, the director, runs an incredibly well-organized and thoughtfully managed program. Having experienced a few preschools due to moves, this is by far one of the best in terms of communication, structure, and overall quality. I was hesitant about starting my child in the toddler program, but the transition was seamless. My child has truly thrived and looks forward to going every day - always coming out at pick-up with the biggest smile. The enrichment programs and early drop-off options are also a huge plus for our family. I can’t recommend this preschool highly enough. It’s a special place with caring teachers and an inclusive community.

Questions parents ask about Play Care

Is Play Care a licensed child care provider in New York?

Yes. Play Care holds New York registration 43154, listed as "LICENSE" by the Office of Children and Family Services, issued on October 9, 2022 and current through October 8, 2026. Confirm current standing with OCFS before enrolling.

What kind of child care is Play Care?

New York licenses Play Care as a Day Care Center (DCC), which is centre-based care in non-residential premises. The category comes from the state's own register, not from the provider.

What ages does Play Care care for?

New York licenses Play Care for 30 toddler places and 55 preschool places. Each figure is a ceiling the state set, not current enrolment.

Which school district is Play Care in?

Play Care sits in the Chappaqua school district, in Westchester County. New York records the district on the licence, which matters for school-age care and transport.

Does this page show inspection results for Play Care?

No. New York's public child care roster carries no violation or inspection fields, and no separate statewide dataset of them was found, so nothing here reflects Play Care's inspection history either way. Look the provider up in the OCFS child care search to read its violations and whether they were corrected.
