  From the moment we started our journey with Johanna in 2020, we have been consistently impressed by the safe, enriching, and truly nurturing environment that her and her team have cultivated. I now have 3 of my children there, ranging from 1 years to 7 (after school), and Johanna and her family are truly an extension of ours. It is evident that immense thought and care go into the kids' day, from thoughtfully planned educational activities to the vibrant and stimulating play spaces. Having toured over 15 in-home daycare facilities, Johanna's immediately stood out. Her home, staff, and the overall atmosphere put us at ease, feeling less like a facility and more like dropping my children off at someone's house to be cared for. Unlike other in-home daycares that felt closed off or like sending my kids to a basement, Johanna's truly feels like a warm and welcoming home environment. Each member of the team demonstrates a remarkable ability to connect with the children on an individual level, understanding their unique needs and fostering their burgeoning personalities. Knowing that my kids are not only safe but also actively thriving in an environment that so enthusiastically promotes their development and happiness is an immeasurable comfort. We appreciate the open communication and transparency that Johanna and her staff maintains. It is reassuring to receive regular updates and pictures of our children and know that we can always approach staff with any questions or concerns. This collaborative approach truly makes me feel like the staff is invested in the growth and well being of each child. Johanna's home is always impeccably clean and organized (I wish I was half as organized as she is!), and the outside play area is fenced in and well maintained. If there is a safety concern (for example, the earthquake 2 years ago or inclement weather during the winter), Johanna immediately addresses the situation to keep parents at ease. We love Johanna and truly wouldn't know what to do without her, as we have no family close by. Rise & Shine is the best!

  I've trusted Rise & Shine for all 3 of my kids & I have to say, they're truly the best. Everyone is so trustworthy, they take such great care of my kids & at this point, they're apart of our family. My kids get to learn in a safe environment, the backyard is amazing for them to play in, and there's an added sense of security with the police station across the street. My kids have thrived learning how to read, communicate while having fun with friends making creative art pieces. If you're looking for a smaller, reliable daycare, you won't find any place better, I truly mean that.

  I cannot speak highly enough of Rise & Shine! My son has been there for over two years now, since he was 7 months. I can honestly say this group became family. The warmth, loving and kind care that my son experienced is truly irreplaceable. My son is my world and I have completely at ease leaving him in their care.   I have known Johanna and her team for 10+ years. My niece went there, my daughter and, now my nephew! For all these years the care has been amazing and Johanna is so reassuring. As a first time mom I was of course nervous in the beginning but Johanna put me at ease! We will miss her next year as we head to kindergarten but I am grateful for the love, care and patience her and her team gave to my family!

  Rise and Shine is my children's happy place. They make friends, they eat well, learn, play, nap, and celebrate when there's a birthday. My oldest is 10 now, she had a great start at Rise and Shine. Now my younger ones are there, ages 4 and 1. Johanna and her crew take care of them like family. Over the years I've looked at and tried other places. We ended up right back at Rise and Shine because no one will care for your kids better or care about them more. If you're looking for a place where your babies will truly feel loved and safe like they're home, this is it.

My daughter loves all of the teachers. It is such a relief to be able to leave your child for an entire day without any worry.
