This is one of the best day cares I’ve used. The prices are reasonable and they offer everything a parent can need. Your child is well cared for, has different learning experience and participates in multiple crafts. There is a playground so that your child gets outdoor exercise. Every is treated like an individual and allowed to progress at their own pace. The owner Kristie Kelly has a masters degree in teaching and has a wonderful way of interacting with children.

As a first time mommy, I was so nervous about leaving my little guy, but as soon as I met Kristie, all that nervousness went away. They are kind, compassionate, loving, energetic and sooooo informed about children and child development. My son is always all smiles when he’s there and I am one happy mama!

The staff is attentive and caring (Kristie and Kayla are awesome!) and maintains a wonderful balance of being both fun and educational. My daughter woke up excited to go each day this summer, and always had plenty of activities to tell me about when I picked her up after work. I personally love that they keep you posted with pictures of what the kids are doing throughout the day. We look forward to returning when school is closed!

The staff are well educated, caring and hard working. The staff meet the students each and every day with a smile on their face and excitement in their voice. They truly feel like family. You can immediately feel that they love what they do. The environment is clean, safe and fun for the children. I highly recommend Slate Family Daycare to any family.
kathleen flandersAug 27, 2019My son Henry has been attending SLATE Family Care since he was an infant. He is now almost 8 years old and still attends during the summer months and for after school. Kristie uses her teaching background to make her center a place for kids to learn, yet have fun at the same time. I feel so comfortable at work while he is there and Henry feels the same. He has made friendships with other children at SLATE and has an awesome relationship with the staff. I highly recommend checking out this daycare. Worry free, fun, academic, and nurturing!
