As a parent, you always want to make sure your child's best interests are met; that they are cared for, safe, and loved. EVERYONE at Smart Start Day Care does precisely this and more. I cannot express how grateful I am to Sonia and her team. My child and the other children are in amazing hands here. Highly recommend Smart Start!
Alexis PetroneDec 1, 2025We are in love with Ms Sonia and her team! I literally cannot brag about them enough. When our daughter was one and a half, we moved to Dutchess County. We were looking for a daycare, but it was extremely challenging to find. I am pretty particular with what I want and I called many many local places every other daycares had issues. Primarily battery operated toys, aggressive discipline practices, not communicative, no structure, not understanding of different children’s developmental needs, not individualize care, and many with violations out of NY state standards. When I first met with Miss Sonia, I fell in love with her. I knew that she was exactly who my daughter needed. I knew we would become family. Her daycare provides structure so the kids are ready for kindergarten, and also fun and creative learning. She originally told me there would be a three month wait and I literally made it work because I knew I wanted my daughter to go there. She has great prices, and includes 2 meals and snacks! Incredible! I have zero regrets about choosing this daycare. I wish I could recommend everyone to her. We are a two mom family, and Ms Sonia never batted an eye. She accepts good people as good people. She and her team are so very caring for my daughter. I cannot even put my gratitude in words. I know my daughter will always look back and appreciate her experience and the connections she’s made along the way. Thank you all!
Amanda GulbrandsenJan 14, 2025We came to smart start after our long time daycare retired. I wanted another at home daycare and a colleague recommended it. My son started seamlessly and loves the daycare and teachers. Because of the structure and same teachers day in and day out; they have all become a tight knit family. My son will be more than ready to go to Kindergarten but is very sad his time at smart start will be over. You couldn’t ask for a better daycare.
Erica WolffMar 29, 2024We absolutely LOVE Smart Start Day Care! We started here when my daughter was 2 years old and she's almost 5 now. I wouldn't want her anywhere else! Our daughter has grown in leaps and bounds. Not only is she more than ready for Kindergarten in the Fall, but she has grown so much more kind, confident, curious, and compassionate under the care of Miss Sonia and her staff. Our daughter's day is full of fun, laughter, and learning and she is always eager to talk about her day on our way home each night. Miss Sonia and her teachers have always treated our daughter like she's one of their own and it is one big, happy family at Smart Start! It has definitely been the best place for her these past few years and we cannot say enough great things about it!

She’s now almost 4 and we could not be happier. She has good friends and has learned sooo much….letters, sounds, some words, songs, games…. She excitedly tells me about her day when I pick her up and what she learned about bears, magnets, forces, etc. I have watched my daughter’s imagination blossom and her curiosity about the world grow. She’s learning to be a good friend and to be in charge of herself. All of her teachers are so loving and treat our kids as their own. It’s a family and the smile on my daughter’s face each school day tells me she feels the same way! ❤️

She talks about her teachers and the fun things she does every day. She looks for Miss Angie every morning and tells me she can't wait to go to school. She tells me that Miss Mary loves to play, Miss Poom is a great friend, and Miss Christine is funny! I love it! Ladies, thank you so much for taking such great care of my crazy baby and helping her learn and grow! 💜💜💜
