  • My children have be cared for by Sonshine from infancy through school age. The staff are incredibly caring and welcoming. It's a great space with lots of room - they have a full gym, a "bike room," and a large outdoor play area. Meals are provided, which is so helpful for a busy parent! They try their best to be open, even on snow days, which we also really appreciate. Their Pre-K program does a great job preparing the kids for kindergarten too. For school-age they can take the bus to and from Sonshine too. I am very thankful to the staff for all their attention and care for my kids.

  • Highly recommend Sonshine! Both of my boys began at 4 months old and there has never been a day where I questioned they were being well taken care of and loved. They have had wonderful teachers in all of the classrooms, have great indoor and outdoor play areas, and very rarely close. My husband and I both have non-flexible work schedules, and we can rely on Sonshine to be open with great hours. Highly recommend for anyone looking for childcare in the Manlius area!

  • Both of my boys attended Sonshine and I am so grateful for the care received from all of the teachers. We all have such fond memories from the experience and I continue to recommend the school to anyone looking for childcare. My absolute favorite memory is the Christmas concert that my kids performed in - such a wonderful program. If you’re looking for a safe, reliable, positive nursery school that teaches core values and encourages kindness and gratitude, this is the place!

  • I really love Sonshine!! My family moved here 4 years ago from out of state and I was very nervous, but the staff was so kind and made it a very easy transition for my then 2 and 15 month old. You can tell the staff loves their job and the kids. They have fun days like beach day, a valentines dance, they offer soccer shots DURING school hours, and in the summer there is sprinklers and water play. Both of my children were loved and learned so much in each classroom, not to mention the friendships that have lasted into elementary school.

  • Having an honest, reliable daycare makes transitioning children from “home life” to “school life” that much easier. The staff are excellent. Communication is great.

  • Both of my daughters attended Sonshine Child Care Center. We had a great experience there. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The staff is very friendly towards the children. There is plenty of space including a gym and an outside playground. As a teacher myself they do an awesome job teaching the children skills like writing and math. Both of my girls were very well prepared for school and have been lucky enough to be good students. Marie the director is awesome! They have fun things like Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas concerts. As a middle school teacher of 20 years I would highly recommend Sonshine.

Look the provider up in the OCFS child care search to read its violations and whether they were corrected.
