Sophie is THE best. She takes excellent care of my son, she feeds him nutritious foods, engages him in art projects, takes him to the park, to walks in the area, and even to art centers. Sophie is patient, loving, knowledgeable, a superb communicator and she has also been extremely supportive when my child has been sick, checking in on him and asking if we needed anything. You can feel the love at Sophisticated Friends. I am very happy, and relieved to have found such an enriching environment, and empathetic person to be with my baby when I'm at work.

AnysemariMay 21, 2025Monique assisted me to advocate for my son for his turning 5 IEP meeting. Firstly, Monique is a parent who has been through the cycles of having a child with a disability in the DOE. This gives her a passion to fight for and educate parents to be informed about rights and resources. Monique met me where I was at, a frustrated parent whom didn't know where to turn. She helped to educate me and provided me with links to resources that are life long tools on how to navigate the system and get the most for my son. She took the time to learn my son, his strengths and weaknesses and we discussed goals and made a plan on how we were going to achieve these goals. When my son's IEP meeting came around I felt confidant and fully prepared to fight for his rights and Monique was right by my side the whole time. I ended up with more than I could have fought for if I was fighting alone. Monique was Godsent to us during this time of confusion and frustration with dealing with the DOE and I'm very appreciative of the time she spent to help us

If you are attending these IEP meetings you’re not alone she’s the best there is gets the job done. Sophie the best person that came into my life Thank You
