  • We cannot say enough wonderful things about this daycare! Our child attended for two years, and throughout that time, the staff consistently went above and beyond to create a loving, safe, and nurturing environment. The girls truly treat every child as if they were their own. Their patience, kindness, and dedication are evident in everything they do. From celebrating milestones and encouraging learning to providing comfort and support on difficult days, they always make each child feel special and cared for. As parents, there is no greater comfort than knowing your child is happy, safe, and loved when they are away from home. The staff’s communication, professionalism, and genuine passion for working with children gave us complete peace of mind every day. We are so grateful for the memories, friendships, and strong foundation our child gained during their time here. This daycare has been such an important part of our family’s journey, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional childcare. Thank you for everything you do!

  • Our two daughters spent nearly 3.5 years at Sycamore Daycare beginning when our youngest was 5 months old (we relocated from Manhattan to the suburbs during the pandemic). We could not have wished for a better, more nurturing environment and feel so lucky the Raftopaulus sisters (and so many of their other great teachers/caregivers) were and will continue to be a part of our lives. Our children were always happy and engaged and came home learning so much - colors, letters, numbers, holidays, seasons, sharing and playing, and how to write! They also met some of their absolute best friends while at Sycamore. We couldn’t recommend Sycamore Daycare any more highly and are sad our time has come to an end as our children have aged out 🩷.

  • We are very happy with Sycamore Daycare and the quality of the care they provided for our children. Both our daughter and son attended Sycamore Daycare since they were 4 months old and they have loved it. They have learned so much from the engaging and fun activities that the staff organizes for them. They always came home with smiles and stories to tell. The staff at Sycamore is also very professional, friendly and respectful. They have treated our children like family and always communicated with us about their progress and needs. The owners are also very approachable and responsive and always willing to listen and try to accommodate our needs. We would highly recommend Sycamore Daycare to any parents who are looking for a reliable and caring daycare!

  • I highly recommend Sycamore Daycare. They are like family. My son was always very well cared for and loved while he was there. Everyone that works there is wonderful! My son was always delighted to go there and I knew he was in good hands. Everyday they have great activities planned for the kids. They are very easy to communicate with and responsive as well. I'm so happy that my son went there!

  • I would like to thank Arielle, Andie and the team at Sycamore Daycare for giving both my children the care and life lessons that allowed them to move seamlessly into PreK and elementary school. I started both my children’s daycare journey at just 4 months old and it was possibly one of the best decisions I ever made for them. We love our Sycamore family and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a daycare to love and cherish your baby like they were their own!

Questions parents ask about Sycamore Daycare

Is Sycamore Daycare a licensed child care provider in New York?

Yes. Sycamore Daycare holds New York registration 857438, listed as "LICENSE" by the Office of Children and Family Services, issued on May 19, 2024 and current through May 18, 2028. Confirm current standing with OCFS before enrolling.

What kind of child care is Sycamore Daycare?

New York licenses Sycamore Daycare as a Group Family Day Care (GFDC), which is care in a provider's home with an assistant, for a larger group than family day care. The category comes from the state's own register, not from the provider.

What ages does Sycamore Daycare care for?

New York licenses Sycamore Daycare for children 6 weeks to 12 years, up to 16 at one time. The age span is the state's, taken from its published capacity record.

Which school district is Sycamore Daycare in?

Does this page show inspection results for Sycamore Daycare?

No. New York's public child care roster carries no violation or inspection fields, and no separate statewide dataset of them was found, so nothing here reflects Sycamore Daycare's inspection history either way. Look the provider up in the OCFS child care search to read its violations and whether they were corrected.
