The Green School is one of my favorite places in the world. It feels like I am walking into a more peaceful time and place every time I go there - like a cathartic reset. I’ve had so many happy memories with my kids there - from when they were 2 years old even through today (when at 11 and 15 years old, they both still begged to attend the “nature salve” workshop and then feed the animals). I love the new enhancements - the expanded playground, the farm store, the beautiful garden - and how they were added without losing the peaceful heart of the farm. I also love how the animals are so clearly cherished - and how kind and nurturing everyone who works there is to parents, children, and animals alike. Jacqueline in particular is a treasure - as is the woman whose name I forget but who is worshipped by all the hens and by the bunny. :) This is a really special place which cultivates curiosity, empathy, and appreciation for the natural world.

He spent his days outside exploring, caring for animals, and developing a genuine appreciation for nature. More importantly, we watched his confidence, independence, and curiosity grow with each passing week. The Green School has created a truly special environment where children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, get dirty, solve problems, and build meaningful connections with both nature and one another. We couldn't have asked for a better summer experience and are incredibly grateful to the wonderful staff for creating memories and lessons that will stay with him for years to come.
