  • Every family is always hoping to get the right school for their kids as it is the best way to come up with smart future generations. Unfortunately that is not the case with Q StudioLab in Sunnyside. Safety is the utmost thing the school staff should pay more attention to save the kids and show the families that the teachers are dealing with the kids as their own.our daughter almost every two weeks they call us with a new incident either at the park or just between other kids fighting each other. So this is the worst thing about this school and no family can not keep quiet when it comes to the safety of their kids. I hope that the school will consider this issue and try to work more to assure the kids are safe.

  • If I could give 6 stars I would! After struggling with other camp programs in years past, my 6 year old finally had a really great experience - he loved the outside time, gymnastics, creative play and friends he made at the Q! No complaints for all 5 weeks of camp! I appreciated the thoughtfulness of the schedule - i.e. letting the kids go to the playground early in the day while the temperature was cooler, prior to the full heat of the day setting in, then doing other indoor activities during peak heat hours.

  • Q Studio Lab is the real deal when it comes to a progressive education in Queens! The preschool is fantastic - and our whole family has been very happy with the elementary school as well. The classes are small and nurturing (10-12 students with 2 teachers), and they do lots of hands on, collaborative learning— science experiments, cooking, clay—-as well as all the subjects you’d expect - reading, writing, numbers etc. Lots of outdoor play and field trips as well! The educational philosophy is child- centered - and my son has grown in confidence so much since attending. He looks forward to going every day, which says a lot!

  • Our son started at the Q Studio Lab in January of this year and it has been a truly transformative experience. Getting him excited about school was an uphill battle for years, and he currently loves every minute of his time at Q! The teachers are exceptional and Lauren is a visionary. Thank you, Q, for an incredible (half) year and for your tireless support and care for our son!

  • My son has been attending The Q Studio Lab since he was in kindergarten. I can't stress just how much we love his journey thus far. Our son has grown leaps and bound through the years. The teachers are excellent instructors with a deep love for teaching and creating, which shows in all the work they do throughout the year. In addition, because of the small classroom ratio, teachers get to know the child well and adapt any lesson to meet their needs. Having two teachers in a classroom of 9-14 students, is a dream come true. Rather than memorization, rote learning and one size fits all type of education, the Q StudioLab privides a hands-on approach of learning, which teaches children to think outside the box, promotes critical thinking, encourages team work and allows students to learn through experiencing something, which makes it more concrete. At the Q StudioLab, my son has had the opportunity to immerse himself in his own learning, while putting his acquired skills to use. For example, while learning about money, rather than sitting down doing worksheet problems, the children made different items using a variety of materials, priced each item and opened up a store and sold them. Parent involvement is also crucial at The Q and plays a very important role in the child's learning. If you're looking for a different approach to learning math, science social studies, etc.then the Q StudioLab is for you.
