But that wasn’t her.. and that’s not how you response to someone even if she did! This is very unprofessional and you should not be responding back to any customer or any one of that matter like that. Respectfully yall don’t need to be in business if you sit here all day responding to reviews maybe show a difference on how to make children feel more comfortable instead of coming up with unnecessary excuses. This is crazy 🤣 I hope yall have a blessed day and next time come at your customers or patients however yall label is in a different way. If she chooses to log into a different email and leave a review then she has to choose to. So I think I’ll pass on you telling me what I need to be doing…
Tahlia CaffeeJun 16, 2025I never imagined I’d be writing this — but I feel like parents need to hear it. Last week I had to pull my children out of their summer camp due to the way they were being talked to and treated. I missed out on work all last week dealt with extreme mom guilt for even taking them there. On top of the stresses of having 2 days to find them childcare before my next shift. I cried, prayed, stressed and eventually found something. Purpose Academy. I took my boys on Friday (6/13) to check it out (there was only 2 kids there so I didn’t get to see how they interact with the kids) but I did notice the teacher in the baby room had her feet propped up on the crib just scrolling her phone. That should’ve been the first red flag I noticed. I toured, it was alot smaller & different from what my kids are used to - but I was like maybe that’s what they need. — The owner met both of my boys (6, and 4) and I let her know upfront that they’re great kids, but my youngest (4) sometimes needs support with transitions. I explained he does best when things are communicated to him like, “5 more minutes until clean-up.” She didn’t seem concerned then. I paid the enrollment fee and she asked me to come early Monday morning to fill out the paperwork because she didn’t have any- and mentioned multiple times she is already at capacity and should be saying no to intakes- 2nd red flag. Fast forward to this morning (6/16) We arrived (as requested to be early) at 7:30AM, everything felt off. First red flag: she told me, “I don’t allow parents beyond the front door.” I thought that was odd, especially for the first day. Then I looked inside and saw why — the kids were already laying on cots with blankets… taking naps at 7:30AM. No structure. No warm welcome. Just silence and kids on the floor. As I was saying my goodbyes; my 4-year-old saw a toy in another room and slipped away from me for a moment — completely normal behavior for a curious child in a brand-new environment. I told him to come back to the front & That’s when she looked at me and said, “Um… is he diagnosed with anything? Does he have behavior issues or just not follow instructions?” I was taken aback. I told her, no, he’s not diagnosed with anything — he just struggles a little with transitions, like many 4-year-olds. But by that point, I was already feeling uncomfortable. Her tone was confrontational, not supportive. I even tried to express that I was nervous and hoping for reassurance. Instead, she cut me off and said, “That’s fine. How about we just grab your kids and we won’t be accepting them.” We had been there for less than 10 minutes. I walked out of there in tears. I was supposed to be at work in an hour. But I made a choice — even if it costs me my job, I will never leave my children somewhere that makes me feel uneasy or where they are expected to shrink themselves to be accepted. I later found out she’s done this to other families before, but I didn’t think it would happen to us. Especially not on day one. Especially not to my boys, who are kind, well-behaved, and deserving of care, not criticism. Parents — please trust your intuition. Ask questions. Watch how they respond. Watch how providers speak to you and your children. And if something feels off, don’t doubt yourself. Because our children deserve safe spaces to grow, not places where they’re shamed before they’re even given a chance. Purpose academy do better. Obtain the education needed to deal with children, and stop expecting toddlers to act like adults. You should be ashamed.
Tanara CaffeeJun 16, 2025Best childcare facility I have never sent my children to. Very kind teachers ! My daughter has learned so much from just the time she has been there. And I love that they teach the children about God!
Natalie WolfeApr 23, 2025If your child is spoiled, I don't recommend taking your child here. My child had complaints on her first day. But it is a good daycare for your child. So 8/10 :)
Julia DiazApr 3, 2025If I could I would give this daycare a zero star. I would not bring my son here again they let the kids do anything and they talk to them any kind of way. the teachers are rude and disrespectful. When I came to pick up my kid he smelled like pee and poop and when I called the manager she just dismissed me and said he did that after he left
sexy chocolateMay 28, 2024We completed an interview and they told me my son would be no problem and they are capable of working with kids with special needs. After day 1 they say they had to redirect my son a few times but it was no problem and overall he did well. Following this they scheduled us for the rest of the month and invited us to the Valentines party. I bought supplies for the party and was very happy to have childcare after a 2 year search only to receive a text message at 8:30am on a Saturday saying after talking with the director they determined my son was not a good fit. I asked why and tried calling someone for more information only to receive no return communication. Very unprofessional. During our interview the staff introduced us to 2 other children who attend my son’s school. She gave me those boys’ names and told me to have the school send my son with them in the daycare line. We scheduled this for Thursday. They end up telling me those boys don’t attend daycare Thursday and forgot to pick my son up from school. This resulted in the school having to watch him after hours which they were not equipped to do and he ended up smashing his fingers in a door. All around horrible experience. We would have been better off without these people being in our lives in the first place. I want to be very clear about the frustration with this review. It is how you all chose to handle this matter and then refused to provide any clarification other than my son is not a good fit. What does that mean? How do I know what to report to the next Daycare to help them understand his needs? I was very upfront about my son’s behaviors and diagnoses. I made myself available in the event he displayed behaviors you all couldn’t manage. You gave him 1 day, reported no behaviors, and simply told me he’s not a good fit without providing me any context for how to manage any issues raised at home and/or with his treatment team. I’m not happy to hear my son is not good enough for your program. “Where every child has a place and a purpose!”
