The community baby shower was a waste of time. The registration ladies were very rude and unprofessional. They did not communicate clearly how to enter the drawings. They kept talking to my son like he was not a person. Then Corey was very rude to a young lady that was in line for food after she received several different instructions from multiple people. They did not have the gift cards after the baby shower like they told you at registration. We had to go to a separate location to get the gift cards after which was inconvenient for people who have to work afterwards or had to get a ride to the baby shower in the first place. I will never give up my free time to do anything with urban league and they are down the street from my house.
katie bellMay 9, 2026They are not helping the community I was told they don't get government assistance so they are non-profit and they are not helping they said they don't have the funds to help but yet 211 has us call them for financial assistance families are homeless and going homeless what is going to happen in this world what happened to people helping people how do these people have a job at these places why are they even open they're not helping assist people
MezzeyNov 17, 2025Go use community action there more productive for the colored people then the Urban League. Do not trust Shanice huff . I did and look at me now nowhere with nothing done. But they do have my application with all my personal information on it who knows what they're doing with it I sure don't

I have a better person yet that has successfully had that done through them the services that they're offering fraudulent. Save yourself and go use the community action or something with proof in the pudding

They don't even have their front doors open for you to walk in to ask for help. I was in serious dire need of help and they couldn't do anything for me
