Deeply Concerned About Safety and Accountability While I appreciate the effort to create a “school-like” environment for young children, I am incredibly disappointed with the lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic communication at this daycare. There have been far too many instances where I’ve felt my concerns as a parent were dismissed or brushed off. Teachers frequently express frustration about doing their jobs — something I find ironic considering many of us entrust them with our children while managing high-stakes responsibilities of our own, like running companies or overseeing millions of dollars in business. One moment that especially bothered me was when the principal approached me saying, “I know we’ve talked about this before,” trying to get me to sign a document. That was actually our first real conversation, ever — aside from the occasional “hi” or “bye.” This kind of manipulation or confusion is unacceptable. The focus at this daycare often seems more about making things easier for staff rather than supporting the natural growth and needs of a toddler. My priorities are clear: safety, nutrition, and emotional well-being. And those are the very areas where this place consistently falls short. My child has returned home multiple times clearly dehydrated after being out in the sun, with no mention of water or shade breaks. Her lunchbox comes back either completely untouched or entirely empty, yet there’s never any communication from staff about her eating habits — no notes, no follow-up. Most alarmingly, my child recently came home pointing to her head and ear, saying it hurt. The next morning, I noticed a distinct bruise on her ear that looked like it could have been caused by pinching. When I reached out — concerned that no incident report had been filed — the teacher casually replied, “Nobody noticed anything, it might have been another kid hit her with a swing.” That kind of shrug-it-off attitude is exactly why I’m writing this. If this is how injury and discomfort are handled, I have serious doubts about how other critical situations might be treated. I’m speaking up not to be difficult, but because our children deserve better. They deserve attentive care, transparent communication, and an environment that prioritizes their well-being over staff convenience. I hope this serves as a wake-up call for the administration to address these deeply troubling issues. Until then, I cannot in good conscience recommend this daycare to any parent who expects basic safety, communication, and accountability.
Daniel AraizaJun 24, 2025I would like to share my experience at this establishment for the benefit of potential employees and parents considering this option for their children. While the pay rate may initially seem enticing, I found the work environment to be quite challenging, particularly due to interpersonal dynamics. I encountered a management style that often fostered unnecessary drama, which impacted the overall atmosphere negatively. For parents, I would advise caution. Although some teachers are genuinely dedicated and provide excellent care, I observed concerning behavior from one of the older assistant teachers. While she may present herself as friendly in front of parents, I witnessed her displaying harsh treatment towards children when unsupervised. This included raising her voice and using disciplinary measures that seemed counterproductive. In multiple instances, other teachers had to intervene due to her escalating situations rather than de-escalating them. I encourage those considering this option to explore other available alternatives, as there may be more supportive environments for both staff and students.
Ashli BarronFeb 11, 2025If it were simply concerning the teachers I would give this place 5 stars all across the board but due to my horrible experience with one administrator in particular I will not be referring this facility to friends or family.

LydiaNov 21, 2023During the pandemic it was very difficult to find childcare. My son stayed home with me at the start of the pandemic, but it was stressful to have to care for my him all day and continue working from home full-time. It was a great relief when Families First became an option for us. We are very fortunate to have a wonderful place like this for my son to attend while we work. The teachers and staff are very caring and considerate and have great communication. I would recommend this daycare for anyone looking for a safe and welcoming place to leave their kids.
Alejandra MendozaJun 29, 2022As first time parents, we were very nervous about sending our baby to daycare. Families First Childcare has eased our worries over and over again. The teachers and assistants are so loving and caring towards the kids. Our baby comes home happy from all the fun they had during the day. There is nowhere else I would want to send our little one to be cared for.
