Little Explorer Montessori’s is a genuinely well‑run and caring school. The staff is attentive, professional, and clearly committed to maintaining a true Montessori environment. The classrooms are organized, peaceful, and thoughtfully prepared, which really stands out compared to other programs in the area. Communication is consistent, the leadership team is approachable, and the overall atmosphere feels positive and welcoming. This location is an excellent choice for families seeking a reliable, high‑quality Montessori program.
Jennifer Hostmann - Digital Marketing SpecialistJan 23, 2026Two of my kids have absolutely loved their time at Little Explorers Preschool. The teachers are warm, gentle, and truly care about the children. They’ve enjoyed everything like the welcoming atmosphere, the healthy and delicious meals, the fun activities, and most of all, the friendships they’ve built 😄. It’s a wonderful school that we’re happy to be part of!
Quynh LarimerOct 29, 2025During our enrollment at Little Explorer Montessori from October 2020 to December 2021 the school consisted of two teachers, Ms. Roop and Ms. Lily as well as the school director and owner Ms. Hoyt. They have a very academic heavy program that helps their students achieve the basics for entering elementary school. Ms. Roop and Ms. Lilly are wonderfully supportive teachers who have an obvious love of the children in their care. The school's curriculum is more traditional than advertised but very effective. It is very loosely Montessori based. Our child was very happy and comfortable. My low star review has to do with the director and owner Ms. Hoyt. We found a few issues with her. At both instances of COVID exposure it was apparent Ms. Hoyt’s response was not planned out. Which was a surprise since she takes COVID very seriously. Our first run in was when we were not informed of a COVID exposure. It was an indirect exposure and she notified parents as they picked up their children. Our child wasn’t there and so we weren’t informed. We were informed at pickup the next day. It would have been preferable to have had the knowledge so we could have kept her home and had no risk. We made suggestions and changes to communication where made; we were satisfied. Second situation was when my daughter had COVID and we notified Ms. Hoyt. There was little concern or support shown. However there were alot of accusations made by Ms Hoyt (my husband was sick the week before but had a negative home COVID test) that made an upsetting situation worse (it was my daughters 4th birthday). An email was sent to all parents that was condescending and accusatory in nature. When I addressed this with her Ms. Hoyt responded by kicking our child out of her school. I made attempts to communicate with her further but she was not open to further conversation. Bottom line is Ms. Hoyt doesn’t have a plan and doesn’t accept criticism. She possesses the attitude that if you get COVID you did something wrong and its a threat to her business. With all the other positive reviews I am assuming that the stress that COVID has placed on her has deteriorated some of her professionalism.
Julie BurgessFeb 16, 2022I highly recommend Little Explorer Montessori to anyone who is looking for a loving and caring daycare/pre-school. We had my daughter at Little Explorer Daycare for almost a year. The only reason she no longer attends is that we moved out of the area. The teachers at Little Explorer really care about the kids. You can tell that these are loving and compassionate people that truly enjoy teaching children. We felt like we were leaving our daughter with family and completely trusted the care she received while there. The teachers were extremely friendly. We'd often have conversations during pick up and drop off. I really cannot say enough kind things about the staff at Little Explorer. It is really nice to have peace of mind when leaving your children in the hands of others during the day. The centers were clean and presentable. The children are feed organic meals and snacks. The centers were also safe and secure. Little Explorers is a fantastic, family oriented day care & pre-school. If you are looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, & friendly day care or pre-school, then I highly encourage you to reach out to Little Explorer Montessori.
Jad & Jess WaltherAug 18, 2021My daughter has been going here for about a month now. Before I tell you about what I think I just wanted to give a back ground on my daughter. My daughter is 2.5 years old. For the past year we mostly used nanny's or more recently a family friend for watching our kids. Back in September we put in cameras in our home and discovered our family friend was abusing our daughter. Which had explained her erratic behavior and pica (eating inanimate objects). We had been trying to figure it out for a few months when we decided to put in cameras. My daughter had regressed both physically and mentally despite seeing a counsdlor. I was very hesitant about putting her somewhere but after a month of no work, I had no choice. I was referred here by my coworker whose son goes to their infant location. I explained to the director our situation and she was willing to give her a try. So we did a 1 week trial period. For the first 2 weeks drop off was not easy, she was very distraught and did not trust easily at this point. The amazing staff here were so patient and kind with her. Just this past week at week 3, my daughter stopped crying during drop off. She started saying good bye and greeting her teachers with a huge smile. I can not express how happy I am with this center and the staff. The change in my daughters affect is exponential. She even verbalized words more clearly and listens better in the short time she has been there. From a parent who was very nervous about leaving her daughter with someone again, I can 100 % recommend them to anyone.
Carli YinglingNov 9, 20193 of my daughters go here and they absolutely love it! all of the wonderful teachers are so kind, warming, loving and is aware of the impact they leave with the kids. my 6yr old and 4yr old daughters reading levels are higher, and my 1yr olds communication skills are advanced. The teachers really show interest in positive development of my daughters and for full time working parents, to know your child is in good hands mentally, physically and emotionally while you are away is a huge relief! thank you everyone at the Nursery and Montessori!
