  • My daughter has been in this school for a year. I have had multiple incident reports written up upon my child being hurt by another student. I spoke with the staff and not much was done. They have a no exclusion policy which I understand, but I do think that there should be some type of safety measures taken to insure the safety of other students. My daughter has had her hair pulled, her lip scratched where she was bleeding, a toy bin thrown at her head which cause a lump and bruise, she was kicked in the eye by another student which the staff present in that moment did not inform me. I did not find out until my daughter told me. Due to the ongoing circumstances I did withdraw my student from the program. So to all the parents who are considering this school please be aware. The staff were nice and everything but I do not think that they take these situations seriously since they are young kids. Some of the teachers also have bad attitudes. When I told my daughter teacher that she was no longer happy coming to school because of her getting bullied she responded with well there is nothing we can do besides continue to redirect our friends. Which I do not think is an appropriate response.

Questions parents ask about ACELERO 17TH STREET

Is ACELERO 17TH STREET a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. ACELERO 17TH STREET holds Pennsylvania certificate 102511952-0007, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Philadelphia County. The current certificate runs to July 23, 2026. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is ACELERO 17TH STREET's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates ACELERO 17TH STREET STAR 1, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on July 30, 2024. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against ACELERO 17TH STREET?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against ACELERO 17TH STREET at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does ACELERO 17TH STREET accept child care subsidy?

Yes. ACELERO 17TH STREET holds a subsidy agreement with the state. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 18.

Does this page show inspection results for ACELERO 17TH STREET?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects ACELERO 17TH STREET's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
