My kids love ALC. Ms Carolina is warm, and yet firm which has helped my school age kiddo a lot. I recommend ALC to anyone looking for genuine care for their children.
Shreya ShahJun 9, 2026As a mom, I was always very hesitant about putting my children in daycare. That all changed when I found ALC. My oldest daughter started there at the age of 3, and we have had such an amazing experience ever since. She has had wonderful teachers throughout the years, but I would especially like to recognize MS PAULETTE She always makes sure my daughter gets to and from her elementary school safely each day. As a parent whose work schedule often interferes with school dismissal times, I truly appreciate ALC offering this service. I would also like to give a special shout-out to MS CAROLINA, who consistently makes sure my daughter's homework is completed before she goes home. Knowing she is supported both academically and emotionally gives me so much peace of mind. My youngest daughter just turned two a month ago, and I have had nothing but positive experiences with all of her teachers. She started daycare at just 6 months old, which was a very difficult decision for me. However, thanks to MS. SANDY, MS. MARIA, and MS. AMANDA in the infant room, I felt comfortable and reassured every step of the way. Their care, patience, and kindness made all the difference. After the infant room, we moved into the Toddler 1 class, where we met MS JANELLE and MS. JOY. Thanks to them, my sweet girl learned so much from manners and communication skills to many other important developmental milestones and techniques. We are now in the Toddler 2 class with MS HOLLY, who has been an incredible help with potty training and continues to teach and encourage my daughter every day. Thank you, ALC, for providing my family with years of peace of mind. As a full-time working mom, your support is appreciated . The dedication, and care shown by your staff have made a lasting impact on my daughters and our family. I will always recommend ALC to anyone looking for a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for their children.
Shakira HernandezJun 4, 2026Miss Carolina in the school age room goes above and beyond for her kiddos planning fun activities and keeping toys and supplies fresh and interesting for them. She runs her room firm but fair and really listens to the kids.
Daria GibiserJun 3, 2026Ms. Carolina is the best teacher I’ve ever seen. She is absolutely wonderful with the children. The children respect her and she respects them. She does her job with love and it is evident!
Kelsi BehlerJun 2, 2026I truly appreciate all the love, dedication, and care you provide to my children every day. The environment is excellent, and all of the teachers are amazing, professional, and caring. Special thanks to Paulett, Mrs. Thea, and Carolina for everything they do. It means so much to our family to know our children are in such wonderful hands. Thiago urena and Jeydden Ureña.
Michelle HerreraMay 26, 2026RUN from this place. I had two boys go here. And when I first started there back in 2015, ALC was a A++++++. My oldest had a great experience, my youngest went there from 6 months 3 years old. Towards the end is when we started to be very concerned. 3 lice outbreaks within a 6 month period and the last one we encountered could have been prevented. But they allowed it to get so bad they had to hire an outside professional to come in and check every Childs hair prior to walking in the building. This was so inconvenient to wait 15+ mins trying to drop my child off. State was there observing almost every other day for several months. My son was evaluated there after 3 months of being in a new classroom and was told he couldn't jump. Mind you they had sent several pictures of my son jumping via the awful app they switched to (cheaper). Then had another meeting to discuss his evaluation with the assistant director at the time because several of these things he was doing at home but said he couldn't do it? I came with all the receipts (printed pictures of my son jumping)... Proceeded to try and tell us that our son would benefit from state help with development 'issues'. We made a doc apt to ensure he was okay and the doc said he was actually doing things on the advanced level at his age. I picked up my son one hot summer day and a teacher told me that my son's eyes were rolling in the back of his head and almost passed out around lunch time. I NEVER received a call or message about this. Personally this is something they should have called for medical help. Come to find out, my son didn't have his water bottle outside at recess as they forgot all of them inside and couldn't leave the kids... the logic thing to do would be taking all of them back inside so things like this done happen. I should have left after that... My youngest son also had got bit several times, one time was bit so hard there was blood drawn and no one called me. Instead I was told when I had picked him up. There's another review of a Childs cheek with red bite marks on it but there were no cameras in that view. This was a lie because ive personally seen that rooms cameras (in another situation) and there is not a single inch that was not visible. Any childcare facility that has cameras but doesn't allow parents to have access to it is a RED FLAG!! I have a biracial family. My fiancé is Nigerian and I am white. The director kept calling my fiancé and son (mixed) different names repetitively despite correcting her every time. Here it was due to another recent black family signed up for ALC and was getting them confused! It was very weird because again, we had gone there for 10+ years. IMPORTANT!!!! The last thing that drew the line for my family is when the director was gossiping with another teacher (in front of parents) and the parent personally called me right away and told me. My jawn hit the ground and I was embarrassed- how dare a director spread rumors about my fiancé and I that we were the parents calling state. I can assure you that I did not call state once, although I should have. FINALLY when we pulled the trigger and start looking elsewhere, we toured another childcare facility. During our tour, we ran into another parent that was in our son's classroom at ALC. The facility made a comment and said they were getting a lot of requests for tours from ALC parents.... here's where it gets very interesting, the facility we were at told us that they had fired a teacher for doing something awful and WAS HIRED AND WORKING AT ALC fogelsville!!!! The facility even called ALC to inform them about their exemployeeand that person still works at ALC fogelsville to this day. I can only speak from my personal experiance for ALC Fogelsville.

- Yes. ACTIVE LEARNING CENTERS FOGELSVILLE holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. - No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.
