BE YOU LEARNING CENTER LLC

This is a late made review but well deserved. We sent our child here just after Covid and when the owner first opened the school. My daughter loved it and I knew she was in good hands with Ms. Ebony. We were so grateful to have a spot close to where we lived and teachers that cared for our daughter so much. We’ve moved from the city but my daughter remembers her time there years after.

When I first started bringing my son to the daycare he was about 3 months from turning 2. He had no daycare experience prior to this. It is a nice daycare and I would like to say his teachers care. There have been incidents that were brought to my attention that I could only think 'how do I parent this from home none of the less hours after the situation happened'. Miscommunication all the time. From parent to teacher to owner. After my son turned two it was a nightmare. I picked him up without a diaper on and was told if he had a pull-up on he probably would still have it even though 2-3 weeks prior the owner and the teacher made it clear he was not ready for potty training. My son ran from the walking rope I tried to give solutions and was told they would update me with something, never updated. You're supposed to get daily updates, when I explained I was only getting bad day updates which makes you feel like your child is doing nothing but wrong, to the owner she said she would talk with the staff. After that my child's day was neutral? Apparently everyday was normal after that. When considering leaving the daycare they definitely made us feel no longer welcomed. I explained we were considering leaving and was told a two week notice was fine. That's all. Not a question as to why or was there anything they could do. I could literally go on.This review was waited on because emotions were high but lack of trust, self accountability and the more issues kept arising and us feeling like a burden when we spoke up is the reason we left. It was hard seeing our son leave his friends but we couldn't trust the day ahead everyday sadly. This was longer for details but google has a character limit. I know there are parents with better experiences then ours but this was just honesty from our point of view.

My daughter attended Be You for two years. Her experience started well but managed to become better over time. Staff is very thoughtful and communicative. The executive director takes the time to know the needs of each of the children and families. It’s also a small setting, which is ideal for young children. The curriculum is strong and my child was always excited to show off the things she was learning “in school”.

I absolutely love Be You & I am beyond happy that I chose this center for my daughter. Be You goes above and beyond what you would deem a daycare. The owner/ director Ebony is passionate, she has a background in education and child development, it is seen and felt in the standard in which children are loved and taught here. My daughter is always surprising me with what she’s learned and is learning academically and emotionally. The staff are warm, welcoming, deeply engaged, passionate and professional. My daughter is always excited to go to school, it’s actually all she talks about. She absolutely loves the staff and her friends. I can also say that as a parent I’ve always felt supported and it means much to me. If I could keep my daughter here until high school I would lol!!! If you want your child to be safe, loved, to learn, and have the space to be creative, I highly recommend Be You Learning Center.

Our son is 2 and we love this daycare. The curriculum is well planned; it challenges him, exposes him to new things, and reinforces his developmental needs. He came home with the ability to communicate in sign language before he could talk which greatly improved our lives! On top of that, you can really tell how much the teachers care about the kids. Can not recommend this daycare enough.
