Staff acts kind to the children when parents are around but yell all day. Mostly in the 3 yr old room. Very unprofessional

Nathan HusserSep 1, 2019Bonaventure academy and it’s teachers have perfected the skills of making this place be a “home away from home” for my kids while nurturing them with kind & essential life skills. They help & encourage your child to take their next steps in life whether it be potty training (which Melissa & Marisol help make an easy transition), learning to write their names or even start reading books on their own (Ms Liz & Ms Becca!!). They do so much personal & academic prep work with the kids before going to Kindergarten that my eldest was bored that first year in elementary school. And the added little bonuses when you pick up your kids at the end of the day, is seeing lots of new artwork/projects or your kids hair having been styled as if they had gone to a salon (shout out to Ms Tora & Ms Chloe for this special type of patience) but most importantly being greeted with happy smiles from my kid who thoroughly enjoyed her day there. The curriculum is amazing & they teach it well even giving the parents a weekly report of the classroom agenda. It’s exciting hearing your child talk about what they learned at daycare and The Director makes teachers, kids and parents feel like they are all one big happy family and we are delighted that we found this family to help us raise our kids.
M CFeb 7, 2019Bonaventure Academy is an absolutely amazing place! From the moment I called and inquired about sending my twins here, I knew I was making the right choice. Kim was there for me from the start, texting and calling me with updates like we were family. The teachers in the sophomore and junior room have been like friends I can trust. My boys come home happy, and tell their tales of the day, with a smile on their face. Chloe and Mindy are always there with a smiling face or a reassuring few words on the roughest of mornings. I appreciate all of the moments we have had here thus far, and can never thank them enough for everything they do each day to keep my kiddos safe and happy!!!
Carrie LewisOct 20, 2018This place is amazing. Both of my kids have gone here. Staff is great and very friendly. They care for your kids as of they were there own. Many off the staff have worked there for years. They keep the kids busy doing educational activities and really work hard at getting the kids ready to go into kindergarten. My kids come home with new artwork almost everyday!! My kids wanted to go to school and always come home happy. We love this place and will be sad when our youngest graduates.
S FOct 19, 2018Bonaventure Academy is nothing short of phenomenal! The teachers & director are truly co-parents—they care. They love my children as their own. They are patient, kind, warm, helpful, and completely amazing. The curriculum is what drew us to choose Bonaventure. A holistic, inclusive learning and loving environment with open arms. My children are thriving there! The teachers have longevity for a reason, and the director is supportive, knowledgeable, positive, and encouraging. Their enthusiasm for their work shines through. You can hear their smiles when they answer the phone, which was a lovely first impression! They are all shining stars! We love Bonaventure!! 5 stars is just not enough!

Questions parents ask about BONAVENTURE ACADEMY
Is BONAVENTURE ACADEMY a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?
- Yes. BONAVENTURE ACADEMY holds Pennsylvania certificate 101935503-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Lehigh County. The current certificate runs to December 28, 2026. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.
What is BONAVENTURE ACADEMY's Keystone STARS rating?
- Pennsylvania rates BONAVENTURE ACADEMY STAR 1, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on July 26, 2019. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.
Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against BONAVENTURE ACADEMY?
- No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against BONAVENTURE ACADEMY at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.
Does BONAVENTURE ACADEMY accept child care subsidy?
- Yes. BONAVENTURE ACADEMY holds a subsidy agreement with the state. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 14.
Does this page show inspection results for BONAVENTURE ACADEMY?
- No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects BONAVENTURE ACADEMY's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
