  • My second child just completed the preschool program at Bright Light Early Learning Center, and if I had to describe this school in one word, it would be family. The teachers invest genuine time getting to know each child and their loved ones, creating a warm, inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and supported. My oldest child still loves to visit whenever possible because of the meaningful relationships he built during his time there, and my youngest can hardly wait for her turn to attend preschool. That says so much about the positive impact Bright Light has on its students. Bright Light excels at bringing families into the fold. Whether it’s serving as a Mystery Reader, attending Thanksgiving and Christmas performances, or participating in Mother’s Day and Father’s Day events, parents are always encouraged to be an active part of their child’s learning experience. Over the years, I have watched my children thrive both academically and socially. The curriculum is full of engaging, hands-on learning, including weekly science themes that thoughtfully connect to the real world and feature community members like firefighters, police officers, dentists, and animal groomers. Academically, the students build a robust foundation in early literacy, mastering letters and phonics. Socially, they learn to cooperate, appreciate diverse cultures, and build a caring community that extends well beyond their own classroom. One aspect that stands out to me most is the staff’s proactive approach to kindergarten readiness. The teachers and director actively collaborate with local elementary schools to ensure every child transitions as smoothly and successfully as possible. As both a parent and an educator, there is no greater comfort than dropping your child off each day knowing they are loved, safe, cared for, and growing. Bright Light Early Learning Center has given our family that profound peace of mind, and we are incredibly grateful for the experiences and relationships our children have gained here.

  • We have had the best experience at Bright Light! I have 3 children currently enrolled, a 9-month-old in the baby room and twins in the elephant room. We transitioned almost 2 years ago from another local daycare (which is a respected national chain) and knew we needed to switch ASAP to Bright Light after our twins’ Early Intervention OT and Special Instructor kept raving about how fantastic Bright Light is. I knew to trust our EI professionals as they go to many different daycares/pre-schools throughout Chester County and both of them independently said that Bright Light is the best. We could not agree more! We noticed an immediate difference after transitioning to Bright Light with our twins. Our girls who were very quiet and did not want to go to daycare previously fell in love with their Bright Light teachers and want to go to school. There is a very low turnover at Bright Lights which was very important to us. As a result, the teachers all are very experienced. The school does a fantastic job with doing both structured and free-play activities throughout the day and we love that they celebrate various cultural holidays. They post pictures and updates throughout the day, which is the highlight of my work day. The director, Ms. Dawn is incredibly dedicated to running the school and she personally knows all of the children. I did not know it was possible to find such a great group of women to care for our kids, but I feel blessed to know that they are part of our “village” and feel confident in them caring for our kids. My husband and I are looking to move and one of our stipulations for our next house is that is in close proximity to Bright Light. I recommend Bright Light without reservation to everyone!

  • Truly the best people and place for your child. I can’t imagine sending my children anywhere else. Both kids started there in the baby room and have loved every teacher they’ve been with since. We’ve been there 3 years and have had 0 turnovers with teachers which is so rare! It’s such a positive environment - you can tell everyone including the teachers are having fun there! Every teacher has gone above and beyond to provide excellent care for my kids - I usually struggle to get my kids to leave they love being there that much. I love the daily notes, pictures, and updates but most importantly how much my kids love going to Bright Light everyday! It’s the best decision I’ve made for my kids.

  • So happy we found Bright Light! Our daughter started there at just 9 weeks old and they took such great care of her through every milestone. We always felt she was well cared for which is super important when leaving your child with someone else at such a young age. Now as a toddler she is so comfortable with all of the kids and teachers. I’m always impressed that they all know her and our family, not just the teachers in her designated room. They do a variety of activities to keep the kids engaged and provide a great balance of structured learning and fun. Would highly recommend this center to anyone looking for personalized care for their little ones.

  • I can say without a doubt that Bright Light Early Learning Centre is the best daycare in Chester County. Having 3 children, I have experienced several other daycare's before this one, and none of them even come close. The environment here is incredibly safe, nurturing, and so thoughtfully organized, Miss Dawn truly runs a tight ship in the best possible way. She keeps me on track and follows up when I am forgetting something. I don't know how she manages to keep this place so organized, but she is incredible at it. I have three kids, and two of them have attended Bright Light. My five-year-old has learned more here, than my oldest did at other well known reputable centers. And my toddler runs away from me at pickup because he doesn’t want to leave. They also make a point to celebrate all types of holidays and introduce our children to so many new cultures and lessons of different types! What makes Bright Light stand out most is the genuine family feeling. From the beautiful Mother’s Day event each year to the incredibly heartfelt words shared at preschool graduation with a yearbook and an award for each child on how they were special in their own way. I cry at all the events because they are so beautifully done. Everything they do is full of love and intention. The teachers are incredible and there’s hardly any turnover, which is so rare in this field. You can feel how much the staff cares. They helped us through potty training, they love our kids like their own, and they’ve never judged us for forgetting a water bottle or missing a form (which definitely happens frequently in our house - sorry :) ). I don’t really know how to put into words how special this place is, but we are just so incredibly grateful to have found it. I feel so lucky knowing my kids are safe, happy, and surrounded by people who truly care for them every single day.

  • There is no where else I would rather send my kids than Bright Light Early Learning Center. The teachers and director are so caring and loving and want the best for all of the kids at the school. Each day they always have something fun planned and we couldn't be more satisfied with the level of care. Highly recommend.

Questions parents ask about BRIGHT LIGHT LEARNING CENTER

Is BRIGHT LIGHT LEARNING CENTER a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. BRIGHT LIGHT LEARNING CENTER holds Pennsylvania certificate 100875189-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Chester County. The current certificate runs to November 4, 2026. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is BRIGHT LIGHT LEARNING CENTER's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates BRIGHT LIGHT LEARNING CENTER STAR 1, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on July 11, 2019. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against BRIGHT LIGHT LEARNING CENTER?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against BRIGHT LIGHT LEARNING CENTER at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does BRIGHT LIGHT LEARNING CENTER accept child care subsidy?

Yes. BRIGHT LIGHT LEARNING CENTER holds a subsidy agreement with the state. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 19.

Does this page show inspection results for BRIGHT LIGHT LEARNING CENTER?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects BRIGHT LIGHT LEARNING CENTER's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
