  • We absolutely love CCS. Our toddler started last summer (her first school experience) and has absolutely thrived there. She loves her teachers and looks forward to going. We so appreciate their approach to play- based learning and have witnessed such growth from our little girl. I also want to mention how much we love their focus on outdoor time and exploration. We’ve found CCS to be such a wonderful community and look forward to having a second child there next year.

  • My daughter started CCS September of 2025 from the beginning the school has been amazing with communication. I loved that they had a meet and greet with the teachers to talk about the child’s likes dislikes anything that makes the comfortable etc. I met my daughter two teachers Teacher Mazel who my daughter absolutely loves she gravitated toward teacher Mazel from the first time she met teacher Mazel and everyday she’s asking about teacher Mazel. We also met Teacher Kalia who my daughter adores as well teacher Kalia is just amazing her communication with me about my daughter is amazing so thank you Kalia couldn’t ask for a better teacher for my daughter also I feel that teacher Kalia looks out for all of the children from the talks we have she’s the best both are actually amazing so thank you CCS for having two amazing teachers for the Oak Room teacher Mazel and teacher Kalia

  • My kids love their school! They started with the Children's Community School for summer camp in 2025 and are now in the pre-K program. I was nervous about the transition from being at home to school but the staff and teachers made it easy and fun for them. The kiddos speak enthusiastically about their Teachers: Kalia, Mazel and Hannah B. They even share the fun they have with other teachers they engage with during the day such as Teacher Jyoti, Sab, and Ash. The teachers are engaging, kind and really care about the students. I love the space, especially the outdoor space where they can get some air. My kiddos are always smiling and happy at pick up, ready to tell me about their day, letting me know it is a safe place for them.

  • We are so grateful for the wonderful teachers of the Magnolia classroom Hannah and Olivia. They are incredibly attentive to Leon and truly care about each child as an individual. Leon always feels seen, supported, and encouraged in their classroom. Hannah and Olivia come up with such creative and interesting activities that really spark curiosity and learning. From creating their own zines to thoughtful discussions about the similarities and differences between kids and their families, the activities are both fun and meaningful. Leon has also learned so much, including developing his drawing skills—especially drawing bugs, which he now absolutely loves! Their kindness, patience, and creativity make such a positive impact. We feel very lucky to have Hannah and Olivia as teachers and truly appreciate everything they do. Thank you for making learning such a joyful experience for Leon! 🌟

  • We are so happy we found CCS. Transitioning to daycare was a big decision and the staff were incredibly helpful and empathic during the process. After all, my child is going to spend about the same amount of time here as he will spend in high school. It was remarkable how quickly my son adapted to the routine and developed relationships with his teachers at CCS. Their approach is focused in socio-emotional development and I have seen how much my son has learned, even before age 2, from their approach - asking me how I'm doing and offering a pat on the back when someone is upset. They truly create a caring environment and see each unique little person in the classroom for who they are. My son's daytime teachers Leticia, Amaris, Stephanie, and Ash are all so caring, attentive, and creative in the unique new environment they present for the children everyday. The afternoon teachers Laura, Frank, Hannah, and Sab foster a fun, less structured after school program. I appreciate how the day and afternoon teachers are in touch with each other about any important info throughout the day. Both the daytime and afternoon teachers are true teachers, not just childcare providers. The school also hosts regular community events both during school and on weekends to bring us all together. Cannot say enough about how happy we are to have landed here at CCS.

  • WE LOVE THIS SCHOOL! Families from all over the city drive to have their kids learn from the enthusiastic, attentive, kind, supportive, well-trained, and open-minded teachers here. We are in our 3rd year (started when our child was 2yo), and only wish it could continue through kindergarten and beyond. Teachers Olivia, Hannah, Frank, Hannah B, Laura, Fayge, Ash, and Amaris really make the kids feel cared-for while learning important social and emotional skills. They learn things like sign language, identifying social cues, how to be good friends, gardening, clean-up, self-care, of course art and music, and even yoga! Teachers Parker and Seth have also been amazingly helpful and great behind-the-scenes leaders. The team is really responsive to our kids' needs and last-minute changes. They send photos of what the kids did, and a write-up of the books they read and activities, every day! I think we're maybe a bit spoiled with the kindness, personal attention, and daily joy we get from this pre-k, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

What is CHILDRENS COMMUNITY SCHOOL's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates CHILDRENS COMMUNITY SCHOOL STAR 4, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on November 26, 2025. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against CHILDRENS COMMUNITY SCHOOL?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against CHILDRENS COMMUNITY SCHOOL at the time the record was published. Does CHILDRENS COMMUNITY SCHOOL accept child care subsidy?

Yes. CHILDRENS COMMUNITY SCHOOL holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 18.

Does this page show inspection results for CHILDRENS COMMUNITY SCHOOL?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects CHILDRENS COMMUNITY SCHOOL's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
