I would not recommend working with Virna as a CASA manager. She was extremely rude and unprofessional in multiple interactions. Instead of being helpful or supportive, her attitude made the process stressful and frustrating. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially in a position that serves families and children.
Marizol TorresApr 22, 2026They are a amazing service to utilize for children 5 and under. My son was in the Headstart program and absolutely loved it. I am hoping to get my daughter in to the program for the next school year
Kathy Lee MooreMar 5, 2026Ms. Era, the Pre-K teacher, is exceptionally good. The positive review is solely for her. However, her assistant, Ms. Liz, was rude to my son. Ms. Liz complained about my son to my wife rudely and in his presence. Following this incident, we decided to withdraw our son from the school. On the very first day, Ms. Liz refused my request to give my son warm water instead of cold water. Ms. Era interrupted that day and confirmed that providing warm water was completely fine. I feel that Ms. Liz only gives attention to the children of her friends. This school requires more comprehensive inclusive training. The environment should be welcoming and supportive for all families, not just Spanish speakers.
Shaheen DoulahNov 28, 2025HORRIBLE! I went in to talk to my case manager and instead of the teacher or the lady directing me the right way she instead said that I had to wait until the case manager came downstairs. As I was on the phone with my case manager which was trying to get me to the right place she said “ I don’t have time for this right now, I’m dealing with these kids”. She was super rude and disgusting. She literally closed the door right on my face. Her name is Maria. I’m not sure why they would have people like that working with kids or people in general. It was very obvious that she hated that job and didn’t want to be there. I’m also pregnant and it was freezing outside. She told me I had to stay outside until the case manager came downstairs even after showing her the email from my case manager herself.
mikaury sosaNov 7, 2025Super disappointed with the headstart program they are not specialized to deal with kids with behavior issues. They don’t have the patience and what they do is call the parents every other day to pick them up. Also they have so many teacher in service days where they are closed and when teachers don’t come in. So inconvenient for parents that work.
Ricky SmithOct 25, 2025My 2 younger ones go to early head start and I love it the protocols to Keri them safe. They way they have learned so much , even have free physical therapy for the babies up to 3yrs. Head start is for 3yrs ro 5yr before kindergarten and it's also really amazing!

Questions parents ask about Community Services for Children Inc
Is Community Services for Children Inc a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?
- Yes. Community Services for Children Inc holds Pennsylvania certificate 100128144-0038, listed as "LISTED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Lehigh County. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.
What is Community Services for Children Inc's Keystone STARS rating?
- Pennsylvania publishes no Keystone STARS tier for Community Services for Children Inc. Keystone STARS is voluntary, so a provider with no tier has not taken part rather than been judged. Licensing and STARS are separate: a provider without a tier is still certified and still inspected.
Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against Community Services for Children Inc?
- Pennsylvania does not report on this for Community Services for Children Inc. The sanction field is marked "N/A" in the state's dataset, which is not the same as a recorded "No". Look the provider up at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch for its licensing record.
Does this page show inspection results for Community Services for Children Inc?
- No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects Community Services for Children Inc's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
