  • Inexperienced director and very young teachers with no experience. Their communication sucks and the teachers likely don’t care because they pay them close to nothing . I wouldn’t let this center watch my pet fish let alone my child. Very bad experience at this center.

  • ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We cannot say enough wonderful things about Ducklings in Media. We were one of the original families when the center first opened, and choosing Ducklings for our son has been one of the best decisions we’ve made as parents. When our son started, he was about a year and a half old and only knew a handful of words. From day one, the teachers and staff were incredibly patient, kind, nurturing, and genuinely invested in his growth and development. They took the time to get to know him, understand his personality, and help him build confidence in a loving and supportive environment. The progress we saw was nothing short of amazing. By 20 months old, he could recite the entire alphabet, and by 24 months, he was counting to 10 in both English and Spanish. While we know a lot of that comes from his own curiosity and learning at home, there’s no question that the teachers at Ducklings played a huge role in encouraging and fostering that development. Beyond the academics, what has always stood out most is the level of care. Every teacher we’ve had has been warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. The administration has been wonderful as well—responsive, professional, organized, and always willing to help. Communication with parents is excellent, and it’s clear that the entire team takes pride in creating a safe, positive, and welcoming environment for the children and families they serve. As parents, there is no greater feeling than dropping your child off and knowing they are loved, cared for, and excited to be there. Ducklings has consistently given us that peace of mind. Our son has built friendships, gained confidence, learned valuable social skills, and developed a true love of learning. Most importantly, our son genuinely loves going to school. That alone says more than we ever could. A special thank you to Jessica, Ms. Danielle, Ms. Rachel, Molly, and the countless other amazing teachers and staff members who have made our experience so special. Your kindness, patience, dedication, and genuine love for the children do not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you’ve done for our family. We would recommend Ducklings without hesitation to any family looking for a daycare where children are truly cared for, encouraged, and set up to succeed. Thank you to the entire Ducklings team for everything you do!

  • Me and my wife had a hard time getting in touch with this daycare — calls were never answered, and emails were rarely replied to. When I asked about their waitlist numbers, I never got a response. Even after visiting for a tour, I didn’t get clear details about the curriculum and was just directed to check the website, which had very limited information. Since we live in the same community, this daycare would have been very convenient for us, but we ultimately chose a different place that was prompt and responsive.

  • Nothing but great things to say about Ducklings Ponds Edge! We love that all the teachers (not just his direct teacher!) know his name and there seems to be a true team mentality to the staff - always helping each other out and bouncing around to make sure coverage is met. They are always coming up with fun themes and activities to teach & entertain and he is always happy and smiling when we pick him up!

  • We love the Ducklings school, the teachers and faculty are so hands on and our kids enjoy going into class each day. They are great with organizing events and in-school projects with the kids (we love the artwork our kids bring home each day!) I would recommend.

Does DUCKLINGS EARLY LEARNING CENTER accept child care subsidy?

Yes. DUCKLINGS EARLY LEARNING CENTER holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 15.

Does this page show inspection results for DUCKLINGS EARLY LEARNING CENTER?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects DUCKLINGS EARLY LEARNING CENTER's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
